The filter on these seldom has to be cleaned. The majority of the lint is designed to be captured and washed down the drain durring the cycle. So if you are asking for general maintenance purposes, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are asking because you are getting lint left on your clothes, here goes. The filter plate is on the bottom of the basket (the area where you put your clothes). To get to it you have to open the console ( 2 phillips screws in the back where the console meets the top of the washer) Remove the 2 brass colored clips underneath by pushing down with a large screwdriver at the point where it goes into the top of the machine and press down while simultaniously pushing towards the rear. (this will let the top, front and both sides come off as one assembly). You un-clip the plastic ring at the top of the tub and remove. You pop the top cap off the agitator remove the clear plastic cap underneathand remove the bolt underneath that so the agitator can be pulled straight up. Lastly, you use a manufacture specific spanner wrench (I'm sorry, I don't have the part number on that) to remove the nut on the top of the tub. You can then lift the tub out and the lint plate will be on the bottom of the basket. The spanner wrench are usually availible at local appliance parts stores or from the manufacture on line.

How do you clean the lint filter?

you can't clean lint filter. It has a built in filter that cleans itself. It is under the inner basket. If you have to, than remove the agitator and inner basket. It is attached to basket on bottom. No need to clean though

Does the Whirlpool, top loading lsr6332kq1 have a lint filter?

I will suggest you steps to check whether your washing machine has a lint filter. Follow the instructions below.
1)Turn off the washing machine and open the lid or door if you have a front-loading appliance.
2)Place your hand on the upper lip of a front-loading or top-loading washer tub and feel around the circumference for a flat tab. Pull out this tab, which is the handle for the lint filter. If you cannot find a tab on a top-loading washer, continue troubleshooting.

3)Unscrew the cap on the top of the agitator in a top-loading washer. The agitator is the center cone inside the appliance.

4)Pull the lint filter out of the agitator and rinse under cold, running water to clean.
5)Slide the filter into position as far as it will go. Replace the agitator cap if your appliance uses a lint filter in the agitator.

Washer stopped during spin cycle

Hello, try to checked the pump filter, and the pump is actually working. then I would suspect a draining problem.
If filter clean and pump works fine then it could be a control module fault. if this were the case, then it would probably be wiser to purchase a new washer.
Thanks

Water can't fill up

Check and clean out filter inside the connector to the washer

If that is clean
Switch the water off and then start the machine cycle , you should hear a buzzing sound from the area where the inlet hose connects to the washer

If there is no buzzing and the inlet filter is clean you need a new fill valve

How do you clean out the filter on a whirlpool duet sport washer?

Prop up the lower front edge of the washer or cushion the rear top edge with cloth and lean the washer against the wall for easy access to the three screws securing the lower front access panel to the cabinet. Remove the screws and pull down the lower front access panel to remove it from the cabinet.

Place a shallow pan or lay a towel under the filter to catch the water from the pump. Unscrew the filter from the pump assembly and drain the water. Clean the filter and screw it back into the pump assembly. Slide the lower front access panel up back into the cabinet and secure it with the three mounting screws.

Your drain filter is clogged with debris. Usually small items like dirt, paper, money, and much more. Clean the filter and you should be set to go.

Whirlpool AWM6120 Front Load Washer

Cleaning depends on use. 8 years is a bit over the top! When your water does not drain, check the outlet filter first, then the pipe from below the tub to the filter. Your washer wont spin 'cause the pump/filter is blocked.
