    be sure that the connector is seated properly in the back of the set, and to the wall outlet. If they are, then it is possible that the lead you are using is faulty.

    If you have another lead to connect to the set, then try that. If another lad does not work either, I suggest you try another TV in the socket to determine if the problem is with your antenna or cabling to the antenna.

    One more thing to check for is mast head amp power supply. This device generally plugs into a power outlet and then into the aerial socket, to which you connect the TV aerial lead. If you are using this type of setup, then power supply may have died, or become unplugged.

Some type of error message

These problems can be created by loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable, sockets. Check these thoroughly and if necessary, change the RC cables. The message you see might be something related to auto shut off activated due to poor or lack of signal. This might also be from the service provider's computer.

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

* Off entirely.
* Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
* Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
* On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

Hope this helps.
