I have got win vista installed on my system ....it automatically detected sound card and installed the default sound driver...for its graphic driver i managed to get the driver from net.... My system config is p4 2.3 1gb ram 500gb hdd sata p4m80m4 motherboard. The problems i am facing is: 1. In vista movies are being played at very slow speed. 2. When I installed win7 on this system sound card driver was not installed. where should i get its driver? If its agp card then which agp card i should buy to this mother board thanks.

Remember to select the driver for your system a 64 bit driver will not run on a 32 bit.

If its not working with the drivers the graphic card must be renewed

Certain video cards are only compatible with certain processors on motherboards. AMD CPUs work with Nvidia and Intel CPUs work with certain graphics cards also. Are you sure it's even compatible?

There have been alot of problems with Windows 7 and older software compatabilty. I have conflicting info on what audio you system has. One says Realtek:

With Intel, click on the "run Intel Driver Update", and let Intel scan your system, because they will let you know if your sound is theirs or not. What it may come down to is, if you can't find a driver, and, want Windows 7, you may have to upgrade to a sound or graphics card.

Yes you can download it for free. Click here to go to the website. Note your graphics card exact model and click on the appropriate link. The exact model is printed on the graphics card box.

Download both the utility and driver. Install the driver first and then restart PC. After that install the utility for extra functionality.

Note that the drivers are for Windows XP. For newer systems you may not need any drivers as Vista and Win 7 automatically installs most drivers.

No drivers needed for Windows vista or windows 7. Since this is and old card it is not directly supported from manufacturer, but ussually vista or win7 will install automatically a generic driver that allows you to use the card. Might need to change resolution and color dept after installing on vista or win7.

you need to go to the Nvidia home page, go to this link:

you can manually tell it the card you have and the operating system your running, or you can also have it where the site automatically detects whats in your system and gives you the best driver for your video card.

As to the ATI driver, go to

and download robotdriver to automatically detect & download drivers for your ATI product.

The GPU refers to the graphic card, so the firsy step might also solve this other problem, by installing the driver needed for you ATI graphic card.

Well everything about your Presario V3424AU notebook is wraped wall to wall Vista.
Would consider you call HP/Compaq & ***** about Vista. Toggle a deal to replace notebook with XP installed. I gather you haven't had this notebook for a year as of yet?
This is what I would do.
I can not find enough drivers for win XP to function on this notebook.
