Hello...I have a number of files, each containg what is necessary to burn a video DVD with nero burning rom,I used nero vision to convert the avi's to ts video..problem is that when I add the contents of one TS file (containing vob files, etc) THAT is okay..but the next one I try to add, when it opens it, it says I caanot add another quantity of (vob etc files) as I already have them on the "ready to burn section"hence I can only burn one video clip per disc?is the solution to change the extensions or what do you suggest? Thank you Peter

Below is the error message I get when I try to add my second set of files that have been transcoded onto the disc for burning.

A special entry already present on the target location
Original, Joliet,or ISo file names can be identical
Cannot move Video_TSBUP to new location

    a menu structure?sorry I am not very computer literate..(I know..it shows!!)LOL

  • evansoz1 Jul 11, 2008

Cannot find the answer in the "club freaks" site (thank you anyway) but am interested in the menu structure comment that was made..how do I do that..?Each file is named differntly
eg emmylou1 emmylou2 emmylou3 etc...problem is that each file contains "VIDEO_TS.BUP" AND "VTS01_0.BUP" in the Video TS section of each file, and nero sees that as a duplication, and will not accept it??

  • evansoz1 Jul 11, 2008

Hello..thank you for your reply on FIXYA..but still does not work..they are transcoded files (did it with Nerovision) and I have renamed them as DVDemmylou.1 dvdemmylou.2.. etc...there are 7 in total..problem is that each file contains a VIDEO TS file..which Nero opens, revealing VIDEO_TS.BUP AND VIDEO_TS.INFO ETC......hence nero will not let me duplicate these files named as such into the "burn section on the left of screen.
    Any ideas?
    Best wishes
    Peter

I also wondered about a multisession disc..(do them one by one..painful)..but Nero will not allow me to do multisession on a DVD video..(not even on a DVD+RW

  • evansoz1 Jul 11, 2008

Thank you all..I have solved i by downloading a copy of XtoDVD Converter from VSO, and this allows me to add all the video files I want.I thank each and every one of you for your suggestions, and your fast answers.
    Regards to all

Try burning a multi session disc selecting a DVD data instead of VIDEO. As long as you are using the TS folders you don't really need to specify video. You should be able to multi session. You may want to invest in a DVD authoring program. They are fairly cheap and specialize in easy to create menus and lots of other features so you would have no problems. If you need any other help let me know.
Thanks,
Lee

There are lots of programs that will do this.

2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    oh and by the way

-comment / reply / ask me sends me a message

-repost / request more assistance kind of rejects my assistance or whom ever may be the next one in line. and calls in another expert.

  • Ekse Jul 11, 2008

few years ago a friend of mine was asking about the same problem.

we solved it with the link above thats basicly how a dvd is burned but, the movie files had first to be converted into the dvd fromat and when that is done the above process will work and thats it

  • Ekse Jul 11, 2008

also you need to rename the files if not renamed automatically.

    Video_ts

    vts_01_0

    vts_01_1

    vts_02_0

    vts_02_1

like 01 are part one which has sub parts 0 and 1

02 has two parts which also has two sub parts 0 and 1

thats how you can build more tha one movie into a dvd.

look inside a ready dvd actually im going todo that now.

  • Ekse Jul 11, 2008

    ok look at this

  • Ekse Jul 11, 2008

btw the movie here is ghost ship, im going to watch that while I wait for your responce :)

  • Ekse Jul 11, 2008

You don't need to do a multi session you can burn them all in one, just need to configure it correctly and then burn them to the disk.

I think this is a common problem.first you have to do is to change the name of the files you have selected for burning, that is you have to give specific name(cd1,cd 2,cd3...) or number(1,2,3.....) for each files you are going to add.by this you can add a number of files upto the maximum capacity of the disk.ifyou have any problem after this please mail me at jakochumury@gmail.com or post on to fixya.now i will give you a helpful thing ,there is a software called TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTOR, this software is very helpful in converting any type of video and audio files,i and my friends use it effectively for converting files .thank you.Dont forget to rate me also

Why not just burn the AVIs themselves?

    Oh, I see--you are making a player-compatible DVD...

I think you first need to add a menu structure, so that the multiple videos can each have their own place.

I CONVERT A FILM TO DVD BUT WHEN I AM ASKED TO BURN IT DOSE NOT WORK

There are some Burning Software that cannot support DVD to DVD burning but can support burning from Windows Media Video, MPG, AVI and other media to DVD burning.

Check if the CD you are using is a DVD type, if not a DVD type, just a CD, burn the film as CD DVD not DVD. I suggest try using new Version of NERO Burning.. it can support DVD to DVD burning.. TY

HOPE I CAN HELP

When i try to burn a video file onto a dvd disc it says at the end that theres not enough room on disk, i use nero ultra, and 4.7 gb 120 mins disks

The file must be bigger than 4.7gb!

Use Nero Vison to create a DVD video, it gives you the option to make it fit the discs you are using. It will do all the converting required to play the disc in a consumer DVD player.

Nero Vision provides step by step instructions on how to do it.

Dell 3000

Hey there 44mag, the solution may be that you need to use a different program to burn pictures. If you are using Nero, open up Nero Startsmart, and choose Nero Express, or Nero vision. The menu should appear giving you options as to which type of file you will be burning. On the left side, choose video/ pictures. Then on the right side choose the option which best suits your need. Read the description carefully and choose accordingly. Simply follow instructions and tips provided along the way. In Nero Vision, you can create your own slideshow on a DVD. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
