Tried to open a document I saved while working in Word Pad. It tells me a dialog box is open and must close all. Don't know what dialog box they are asking me to close. Once I hit OK it tries to install a disc. It tells me I need the 25 digit # from the CD or Certificate of Authenticity. No longer have the CD or a Certificate of Authenticity. This also happens when I try to open attachments received in my e-mail that are other than jpg's.

    Ok, if I am only running a trial version of Windows XP what do I need to do to get my system upgraded to solve the application and software issues. I need to access my computer and these problems are not helping me get the job done!!

    That's my problem, I don't have a 25 digit code # or CD. What do I have to do now that my computer is 4 years old and I guess I'm still using the trial program? Where do I go to get the required information to install or upgrade?

You could get another trial version if you dont want to pay for the official version.or buy one off of ebay it's cheaper there.

I suggest using OpenOffice for word processing and so on. It;0

It sounds as if you have a software corruption. Download a free open source program like OPEN Office its an open source program like microsoft office here is the link http://www.openoffice.org/

now that will allow you to open the files, but now the problem is left with the other progrtam not working

one method you can try to resolve this by is downloading

run the registery scanner to fix and repair the corruption problems which more than likely is in your registery

    Hey OPEN OFFICE Is a free program like microsoft office and it supports most of the file formats



    Try the tune up utilities to correct any errors in your Registry that could have let to your soft loosing the key (ASSUMING IT WAS THE FULL VERSION)



    if you lost your original cd but still have your proof of purchase (or receipt)_ you can get anoter key by calling microsoft.. If you never owned Microsoft Office then you will need to buy one,, There are sites out there that gives you keygens and serials that will work with pirated copies but THat Will Be Stealing and we cannot tell you how to do it as it is wrong. but anyone using google can find them. I strongly suggest OPEN OFFICE as its free

    It aint your windows that bad, its the Microsoft office, you need to purchase one or purchase a key for it, contact microsoft for the details in making your copy authentic. again Open OFFICE is Free and is just as good as Microsoft Office, Just download It

Does it also happen if you open a document using Microsoft Word? Because there's a possibility that there's a software or application on your PC that is causing this...

    You can call microsoft or go to microsoft web site and there you can buy a license operating system along with the Microsoft Office..

    The reason for that is because your trial version for the operating system is already finish and you need to buy the license operating system and office, to fix that better call microsoft or you can just buy a XP installation and do a clean install or just buy the license from microsoft....

I saved word 2003 file in document folder two days before , but today when i opened "FILE CONVERSION" dialog box appear,,,,,now tell me how i open/recover these files


Unfortunately that dialogue box only appears when the document is damaged. We I need to know if you used any external drive before saving it because they are the greatest damagers of these files.

Secondly, make a complete scan (Virus scan) of your computer to avoid any virus blocking its usage.

Also, try to ensure that its the actual document you sent. It could be possible that you are opening a scrap file of the real file, i.e. one which was temporarily left while you were working on the document.

Inform me of any proceeds please.

By pressing [SCAN] [Start] on the operation panel of the machine, you can scan

Unable to open a saved doc in word because of open dialog box.


may be it is asking for the serial no. kindly install the serial no and use the application.

No voice recognition


You must have already set up and trained a user with the Dragon NaturallySpeaking software prior to transcription. Make sure that the Digital Voice Editor (DVE) software is not opened prior to starting these steps.
Open the Dragon NaturallySpeaking software.
The Dragon Bar window opens. From the Dragon Bar menu, click the Sound button.
From the Sound button, select the Transcribe Recording menu item.
The Transcribe a Recording dialog box opens.
Click the large square button to the left to start the DVE software.
The Digital Voice Editor window opens.
NOTE: If the file you want to transcribe is still on the Integrated Chip (IC) recorder (which will be reflected on the left side in the IC Recorder window), you will need to connect the IC recorder to the computer using the supplied USB cable, or transfer the file to the computer.
Select the item you want to transcribe from the PC window on the right side.
Click on File from the tool bar.
Select the Voice Recognition menu item.
The Converting.. Dialog box opens.
The Transcription Options dialog box opens.
Click the Transcribe button to continue.
The Transcribing window and Dragon Pad window opens.
The text is displayed while the transcription is in process.
NOTE: Once the transcription is complete, it may be necessary to make grammar, word, punctuation, and formatting adjustments.
To save the text file, click on File from the tool bar.
Select the Save As. Menu item.
The Save As dialog box opens.
Browse to the folder location to which you want to save the text file and double-click on that folder.
The folder you chose should now be showing in the Save in drop-down box near the top.
Type in the desired File name in the File name drop-down box towards the bottom and then select the document type.
Click the Save button.
Click the X (close) button in the upper-right corner to close the Dragon Pad window.
Click the X (close) button in the upper-right corner to close the Digital Voice Editor software.

for people who activate them accidentally. If you decide you need to disable a key, just follow these easy steps:

1. From the Tools menu, select Customize…
2. In the
Customize dialog box, click Keyboard
3. The Customize Keyboard dialog box will open
4. In the scroll box beneath the Categories label, select All Commands
5. In the Commands scroll box, find the command name for the key or keystroke (you’ll have to do some searching to find the specific key you wish to disable, but here’s a freebie: to disable the Insert key, select overtype)
6. Highlight the key or key sequence in the box below the Current keys label
7. In the drop down box beside the label Save changes in: select Normal to apply the change to all documents created in Word. To disable the key only to the current document, select the document name from the list
8. Click Remove and then Close
9. Click Close on the Customize dialog box
