Innovage benfini salons professional style clippers

These puppies do not work and I cannot find a way to contact the company... it seems to vibrate but the clippers are supposed to vibrate side-to-side quickly, thus clipping the hair. Not doing it... vibrating in place instead!

Return it back to store as fast as you can, show these complaints and request an immediate refund from a seller.

Picked up a pair of these a week ago they didn't work, took them apart to see what the problem was - right now I'm thankful I didn't electrocute myself when I first tried to use them!
Here's why - The way these clippers are designed, the bottom blade is attached to a metal arm, adjacent to a coil. When alternating current is passed though this coil, it creates an alternating magnetic induction that attracts and repels the arm, hence moving the blade. The coil is a very fine gauge copper wire. The problem with these clippers is that when the copper wire meets the power wires from the switch (a thicker gauge aluminum wire) the connection is very poorly made - on mine, it wasn't soldered, the wires were just wrapped around each other and secured with (no joke) masking tape! On mine, this connection had separated - this meant no power to the coil, and thus no movement of the blade. However, more concerning, was the fact that this wire was in very close proximity to the negative wire leading back to the power supply - leaving a very good and very real possibility for a short circuit.
If your clipper is vibrating but the blade is not moving, either the connection has come loose or the copper wire has broken. You could try to fix it, but I would recommend returning it instead.
Either way, the design and craftsmanship of these clippers is so shoddy, I'm surprised they even passed UL testing. I only bought these because I lost my old clippers and this was the only brand the store near me carried. If you are looking for a pair of clippers, avoid benfini clippers like the plague....

How often should you have your hair cut? My hair salon said I should be coming in once a month but that sounds ridiculous. Are they just trying to get more money out of me?

I don't know about once a month - that sounds a bit too often, but it really is recommended to cut your hair every 6 weeks. This cuts off any split ends and damaged hair and generally gives a more healthy and robust look to your hair

Where abouts are you? Generic salon supplie stores have these, but most will only sell directly to a salon. Talk to your local hairdresser and see if they will order them in for you.

I want to sharpen toenail clippers

It wil cost more than the clippers them selves, but generally anything with a blade like that can be sharpened. Try going to your local hair salon/barber and asking them who the use to get ther shears and scissors sharpened.
