FA is the emergency shutoff switch that detects when water is pooling underneath the machine -> a leak.
"Check float switch under machine, empty any water from catchment tray, check for water leaks or oversudsing".

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F21 error is displayed when the washer is unable to drain, press PAUSE/CANCEL button twice to clear the display. After this please check the drain hose and drain pump filter for any blockages and make sure it is not clogged with foreign particles. You can also check the drain pump to verify that its working. Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
It doesn't matter which way you turn the impeller- it should just be free to rotate ;-0)
I would recommend checking that the impeller motor is actually working by following the last part (in bold italics) of my , pre-typed(!) guidance notes on filters and motors-
----------------------------------

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!

At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Good luck!

F09 in a AU AWO 5761

F09 Error = Overflow Condition

If the Overflow contact on the pressure switch is Closed for more than 60 seconds

an Overflow condition will occur. In an Overflow condition, the Door will remain

locked, and the Drain Pump will run constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed

twice and the Display is cleared. Unplug the unit to service.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked

• Check Wire Harness connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and

Central Control Unit (CCU)

• Check/ Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects

• Check for Drain Pump Failure

• Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off

• Check the Pressure switch for proper operation

Whirlpool 6th Sense displaying FP and clean pump is lit ! How do you clean pump ?

On the lower front panel is a small door which may be behind the kick panel. Behind this door is the drain filter.. Do not undo this filter till you have emptied the machine, as any water in the machine will flow from the pump, when opened.. Leaning the machine back against the wall will help contain what water is left in the machine..
Undo filter, check and clean.
Check that a coin or hairclip has not fouled pump impellers.
If the impeller has come away from the pump shaft, the pump motor needs to be replaced.. A tech should be called for this job!
Good luck....Nomess

Awm8143 FA code

Service manual say FA is "aquastop failure- check aquastop switch", (aquastop switch is flood switch located in base of machine), however looking at the parts view of this machine, it doesn't seem to have a flood switch-odd.
F9 is an overflow problem- manual says to check pressure switch.
Both faults seem to indicate either a leak or overflow problem- remove rear panel and check base for any water, which would indicate a leak.
If OK, next step would be to remove front panel (remove wire and spring from around door seal, remove 2 screws holding door lock, remove 3 screws along base- front panel comes off by pulling down and out towards you-can be a bit tight)
Pressure switch is located just above door lock-it has the black tube going to it- remove tube and blow into switch-you should hear it click.
Also check the chamber that the other end of the tube connects to on the bottom front of tub- this chamber can get blocked up and cause overfill problems.
Please note- always disconnect from power supply before attempting any repairs. If in any doubt, best to leave for an expert.
Good luck!!

Awm8143 door bellow has holes

Unfortunately with front loaders, this is a problem. There's really no sure fire way to avoid damaging the boot, but not overloading it will reduce the risk. Also, empty pockets before laundry. Change or anything sharp can wear and tear on the rubber.
