What kind of connection do you use for each one? SATA or IDE. Take a look at these photos.

They are from hard dsiks but the connectors are the same at the cd-dvd drives.

I have this motherboard with what i believe is the original bios and am trying to install and intel core 2 duo e6550 processor and am only getting a black screen. do i need a bios update for the processor...
If you boot to the Bios screen it should tell you the bios number. The latest bios for this mobo is 683F1P52. I could not however find any support for the e6550 chip, this link may help you though
