Is there some other way of getting this machine to scan documents to e-mails? I had a friend do this once but can't remember how she did it.

click on the canon scan icon either in the desktop or progranms and it should open up a selection panel like photo to fole , photo to e-mail, document to file , document to e-mail, photo to tif etc
place the document to be scanned on the machine and press document to e-mail
it scans then opens up a new e-mail message with the document as an attachment
all you do is add the receiver address and what you want to say and then send
All of the instructions are in the user manual or you can download the user manual from google by typing in --user manual for canon pixma 432 copier --

The best way to email any document from any printer is to have a scanning program that can scan from your printer/scan/copy machine. If your printer only has printing capabilites then it is impossible to capture the printed document back to your laptop.

The first step is to check to see if your Xerox copy machine is a model that includes printing/scanning/copying capabilites.

If it does, then install the scanning program.

Once installed, scan your document, save it to a place you remember on you laptop, then email it using your favorite email program, such as hotmail or yahoo.

there is a scan procedure manually in 3535
on machine go to scan option
set scan option like paper, photo mode etc
and just scan remember mail box name

then form pc browes ur machine ip
if ur having java aplet on ur pc
it shows web tools
go to
webscan option
write ur mail box name
refresh
it shows ur scan document
then set ur file format JPEG or pdf then click to save as
it will be download to ur pc

You can create a ZIP file with all your scanned documents and e-mail the ZIP file instead. Scan your documents, select all the scanned images at once. Right click and select "compress and e-mail"

On the printer itself it says no scan option because there is no option attached from the solution center.

That means the mapping between the scanner and the software on the computer does not exist which results in :-

you will be able to scan from the solution center on the computer but not from the printer itself.

You must set up a list of potential scan destinations in order to start scans from the printer.
To do that please follow the

I am sure if you follow this document it will work.

Once you Update the device with the list of scan options. you will be able to see the scan to e-mail option on the printer.

( Note :- remember to send through the scan to e-mail option directly. You must have Microsoft outlook or outlook express configured on the computer Else it will not work. )

Just scan or create the documents and save them as pdf files. Start your email & make them attachments.

well for this what we should do is make sur that your e-mail is not configured you can configure your e-mail that means whenever you login to your e-mail you type in your username and password and if the e-mail gets synchronised it will automatically open your e-mail so this the best resolution for this and once you scan any picture you get an option to scan to e-mail and it should work..................... thank you

SCAN DIRECTLY TO E-MAIL FROM THE MACHINE- The direct "scan to e-mail" function was the hardest thing to setup. You have to have an actual POP e-mail address for your scanner, which is how it sends PDFs or JPGs of TIF files directly from the box. Getting an e-mail account setup is simple enough, but the control panel won't recognize the servers by name, for example standard pop mail server names list POP.GMAIL.COM. Instead you have to actually convert the server names into IP addresses (I found a website somewhere that did this) and insert that IP address into the control panel.

Once setup, the scan-to-email function works just as you'd expect. But it requires way too many key strokes on the machine to actually send the document. "Are you sure, Are you really sure, Are you really really sure?" (not exact quotes, but you get the idea)

I'm in my late-twenties with a background in the tech field, yet programming this direct-to-email function had me cussing and pulling my hair out. I imagine most people will setup the network scanning application and stop there. The network scanning application is actually a lot more versitile than the direct scan-to-email, even though it requires you to have your computer turned on. But using the network scanning the document just appears, then you can forward it to whatever e-mail you want via your computer (and keep your hair).

go in your my computer and there you will see hp scanning device which is photosmart select the scan and follow the wizard and you will be able to scan the document, but once its complete save it on your machine and then send the mail as an attachment.

with Brother -photo capture-copy-fax-scan machine, I can do except scanning. Please show me how to enable scanning
