SNES video is jumpy on Sony LCD TV

When the Super Nintendo is connected to the new Sony LCD the video jumps at somewhat regular intervals. Works fine on an older CRT TV...any ideas of how to get it to work on the TV I want to use?

It sounds like a scanning issue...Older TV's were setup to adjust the image to the screen. Since the new age is all digital, they kind of left out that feature because it only happened in very old analog systems.

Sorry but to my knowledge there are no converters or anything that I know of that will fix this issue. I haven't tried any of my old systems on newer lcd's so I haven't been in the market to look.

Sorry.

My Super Nintendo is working, but won't show up on my relatively new television, can some one help me please? is there a lead or something I need to buy? thanks

Do you have your TV set to the "TV" input? There may be inputs such as "Video 1", "Video 2", "HDMI 1", "HDMI 2", "Component 1", "Component 2", etc., but the input you will want to have selected is "TV" (this is usually done by hitting a button labelled "Input" or "Video" on the TV remote). Once you are on that input, go to channel 3 (type in "03" on the remote), then turn on the SNES. It should now display.
If this doesn't work, double check the plug you have connected to on the back of the TV, it should read something like "Cable In" (not "Cable Out").
If you have checked all of that and everything is setup correctly, it is possible that you have a bad RF adapter (the grey box that connects the SNES to the TV). If this is the case you can buy one online for around $5 - $10; just google "RF adapter SNES".

Well it is caused by a broken or a loose connection the so try buying a new rf switch or av cables to see if it works if not then the bad news is that the super NES console is on its way out then. 5
5 STARS IF THIS WORKS.
Or try cleaning the gamepacks out too with qutips and rubbing alcohal. logo.png

It is the SNES it has the same issues that the NES had simply turn off the machine remove and put back the cartridge and turn on. some times you will have to press the restart button a half a dozen times.

Check your cables and connection, they could be worn or cracked, try using on another tv or use a different device in the same plugins to verify if what is wrong

Hi i just bought a super nes system it came with RF switch power unit which i have connected to the appropriate connections, i have an LG TV with an golden eye and don't seem to be able to tune the...

Make sure everything's connected in the correct sockets. Turn the SNES on, change to one of the Analogue channels (one of the channels which you control with the TV remote) and start scanning for a signal. The RF cable has to be connected to the analogue port (where a TV aerial would plug in to get analogue channels) and the SNES needs to be switched on.

The alternative is to get a SCART-compatible cable that works with a Gamecube or an N64 and use it with the SNES, as Nintendo had the foresight to add an EXT port which'll let you play the SNES on an AV channel.

SNES works but no color.

Sounds like your AV Multi-out port circuitry is shot. Yest it with an RF adapter, and if it works perfect with an RF adapter, that is the source of your troubles. I'm afraid that the cheapest solution is to buy a SNES motherboard (about $20.00), which is a lot cheaper than a repair shop soldering in new components to fix it. It's not something you can do on your own.. Google SNES Motherboards type 1 or 2

Okay, what I would try is hooking up the snes using the n64 cable. right next to the rf slot in the back of the super nintendo is a slot thats the same video output as the n64 you can plug in the rca cables from it and see if they work
