Question about Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera

How do you upload a picture taken without a card on your Canon Rebel XT?

I was wondering if there is a way to upload a picture taken on my camera's internal memory. It says I can turn this feature off & on so I figured that if you take a picture or two without the card there must be a way to upload it onto your computer.
I have never owned a digital camera before and have been using my Canon Rebel 35mm. I feel like I got sharper pictures on the 35mm. Could this be true?
Any advice would be helpful. I know I'm very picky about my photos. Thanks Patty Gonzales texmexmomma@hotmail.com

The rebel comes with a mini-USB adapter cable. Just plug it into your PC and the camera, and the PC should see it as a USB drive. Then copy or move the images as you would any other files. If you do not have the cable, they are available at Best Buy.

Trying to upload photos from my canon rebel xt, but a busy signal keeps flashing. What to do?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Can you recover pictures if shoot w/o card is on?

Do you mean;" if you take pictures without a memory card in your camera, would you be able to upload those pics to your computer?"...If this is what you menat then plug the usb cord into your copmuter and camera, click " start" on desktop, then click on "my computer" in the window that opens up...Look for a disc containing your camera pictures and you will see any pictures left on the built in memory in the camera (usually only holds a few picture)

Missing a solution disk to my Canon Rebel XT. What drivers do I need to download to get the pictures off the disk and where can I download them from.

Please, next time put it under EOS Rebel XT instead of Si Camera. There is no driver needed. What your refering to is the SD card inside your camera. Take out the SD card if you haven't done so (located on the bottom corner area of your camera). If you have a new pc/laptop they should have built in card readers, locate that. If not, I recomend you buy one, install if need be otherwise its just plug in play where you plug into your usb and it will find the driver automatically. My computer > Locate the card reader / or the card (Usually will say something like Drive I/J SD card). Click on it, you will have two folders, click on 100CANON or something related to that. There you will have all your pictures you taken on your EOS XT. Copy or cut that folder or the pictures you want onto your pc.

Internal memory

To LanaJones123

I'm afraid the Canon Rebel does NOT have an internal memory for storing pictures. Any pictures taken without a card installed will be lost.

Overheat

I have the same Canon Digital Rebel XT black body with 28-55 lens camera and just spent a week in Bryce, Zions and Grand Canyons at over 95 degrees in direct sunlight, taking a little over a thousand pictures and never had a problem, I wonder if it is just a certain factory-run of the camera, or maybe caused by the Card...I use Kingston CF cards. Or maybe the brand of battery-- I can't remember if I using my Canon-supplied one or the generic extra one I bought. But you might consider the battery or flash card as a possible cause. Good luck.
