Does anyone know how to convert ringtones for the Verizon G'zOne? I downloaded a bunch from phonezoo.com, but it will only let me save them as sounds, not ringtones. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. I love my phone, but it's got boring ringtones.

There is no way to do this in the GZone V. The solution above will not work because the GZone V cannot convert a sound received by text -- or a recorded sound -- to a ringtone. The Type S can but the Type V cannot.

I have read some reports that DataPilot may work to upload ringtones to this phone. I have not tried this, and I've also read some reports that it didn't work. This is the only solution I've heard of that has any chance of working, though.

PS, The camera on the Type S sucks, though!

Your computer is full of potential free ringtones for your Samsung T229 (also known as Samsung SGH-t229, T-mobile t229) :
By Bluetooth:
The Samsung t229 is Bluetooth-enabled. Bluetooth is a wireless system which lets you connect your cell phone to computers, headsets, car kits, etc. If your computer is also Bluetooth-enabled, simply establish a connection between both devices and transfer your music files from your computer to your Samsung t229.
Simply record sound directly:
Since your Samsung t229 has a sound recorder (also known as "voice memo"), a very simple technique involves simply placing your phone near your computer's speakers, playing whatever music or sound you would like as a ringtone, and recording it -- you can even use your voice, your child's voice or even your cat's "meow!" Record it with your mobile and there you go! Unless that function was specifically blocked on the Samsung t229, you should be able to navigate to the ringtones section and choose your new recording as a ringtone. Of course, the quality will not be ideal but, after all, it's free!

I don`t know how to record a sound to my ringtone library, and use it for a ringtone.

After you record a sound and save it go to message then picture message and attach it to the message. then send the message to your own number for Example if your number was 855-555-9999 you would send it to that number

After you get the message go to options and save sound as ring tone.

How can assign a sound as a ringtone?

You need to send the sound that you recorded and saved in your phone to yourself in a PIX (picture) message. No Subjects, Text or Pictures are necessary to have in this message, as only the sound itself is required. Once the message arrives on your phone, choose "Options", then "Save As Ringtone". Once you have saved it in that manner, go to "Get PIX and FLIX", then "My Ringtones". It will be stored as a fully usable ringtone there.

Can't use mp3 as ringtone

I found a way around this phone to make a ringtone. There is a record option in the multimedia menu. Got to sounds and record a new sound. I held my phone up to a speaker and recorded it and applied it as a ringtone. Easy as heck. This way you don't have to pay for any ringtones as well. Works like a charm!!!!

Motorola RIZR Z3 - Recordings as Alerts

Some phones will not let you set voice notes as a ringtone. If you get Motorola Phone tools, (available through motorolas website for download about $30.00) it has a ringtone creater that you could use to create a ringtone from a recording.
It also is syncronization software that will allow you to transfer files and back up your contacts.
