I have had this problem with two of my previous washers a top loader and front loader. Each time it was a faulty pump that drains the water from the tub after the wash cycle is complete. If the water does not drain from the tub the machine will not go to the spin cycle. Both of my washers were 5 or 6 years old when this occurred. If the washer is only 5 months old it should be under the manufactures warranty. Good Luck.
sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle
Does washer spin without any clothes or water, try 'spin' only. If no, then u might have a loose connection to the motor. After u disconnect from the wall socket, see behind to see if all connections are ok.
Do not over-load your machine, it could trip a switch which will stall things. Suggestions...
