Question about Intel Genica 56K V.92 PCI Data/Fax Modem - RETAIL (DSEVTGEN82537)
When i try to connect to a wireless network connection it keeps on saying (Identifying Public network) it used to connect directly but i think it was when i used tune up 2008 that it some how messed up my settings. I tried using the diagnose and repair but it dose not work I NEED HELP. I called the company guy on the phone and he says that its because of the mother board and that i should change it but i don't believe a person who didn't even physically check my laptop . oh by the way my laptops a Vectron
Hi, Turn off any firewall (incl Windows firewall). In the connection window click on the right tab and see if an IP address has been asigned to your wireless interface. If it has click Start->Programs->Assessories->

What I believe here is you are not typing in the pass-phrase(wireless password) correctly.
Go to 192.168.1.1 log on to the router ,in wireless section you will find the pass phrase,, create a new one and then try to connect.
