Question about Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2004 - (Open Box) for PC

2 Answers

My Credit Card Statement shows I have paid twice for my Norton Internet Security Subscription. One of the order numbers is 1850382536 dated 23.6.08. The amount is £39.99 for each. The references on the Credit Card Statement show Symantec Nortonrenewal 276165600 GBR and the other one shows DRI*Symantec Luxembourg, LLUX. This has arisen because having paid the first, I still had messages on my screen which said my subscription will expire on 20.6.08, even though I thought I had paid it, so I thought my payment hadn't gone through, so I paid it again. Can you help on this please? If you are not the correct contact, please let me know who I should contact. Thanks. Robert Mitchell

My norton demand key before subcribtion

Use "Add/Remove Programs" to uninstall it, and then get FREE anti-virus software:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security_essentials
to replace the $$$$ that you are annually paying for your Norton subscription.

Remember to "cancel" your Norton subscription, so that they don't automatically charge your credit-card upon your renewal date.

I WANT TO INSTALL NORTON INTERNET SECURITY BUT I CAN'T FIND HOW TO ENTER THE PRODUCT KEY

1. Click the Start menu button, click "All Programs" in the pop-up menu and select "Norton Internet Security" to run the program.

2. Click the "Activate Now" button that appears at the bottom of the Norton Internet Security's program window, or click "Renew Now" if you're using pre-installed software. Click "Next" in the Norton Account window, and enter your full name, address, phone number and email address. Click "Next" to proceed with the activation.

3. Type in the Norton product key located on the software's product case or select your payment method, and enter your 16-digit credit card or debit card number. Enter your expiration date, and enter the security code located on the back of your credit or debit card.

4. Click "Next" and wait for the Norton Internet Security program to connect to the Symantec server. The program will send your billing and payment information to the Symantec server, and activate your program.

I paid for it and have a product key. Norton says it is invalid.

If you have been charged for a Norton Automatic Renewal and your Norton product shows expired :
When Norton Automatic Renewal service extends the subscription to your Norton product, it is intended to automatically synchronize your subscription to the updated expiration date. Sometimes, due to connectivity issues, your Norton product may not be able to properly synchronize your new subscription. To resolve this issue, we recommend that you synchronize your computer with the Norton servers.
If you have a Norton 2009 product:
To fix the subscription status
1. Start your Norton product.
2. At the top right corner of the window, click Help & Support > Subscription Status.
3. Click Finish.

If your Product Key that you have typed is incorrect. Please follow these instructions to enter the correct Product Key.
If you are reinstalling Norton 2009, log on to your Norton Account to access your Product Key.
1. Log on to your Norton Account by going to the following Web page:
http://www.MyNortonAccount.com
2. Type your email address and password. 3. Click Sign In. 4. Under Registered Products, select your Norton product. 5. Write down the Product Key.
Type your product key again, exactly as it appears on the back of the CD envelope, or in the confirmation email from Symantec for your download purchase.

I hope this is helpful.

Have renewed Norton anti virus for the next year Paid by credit card. Computer shows 'protection expired confirmation # NP11822299

when you have ordered the renewal, you should have received an email with a renewal code. Even if you have not received the email just go to the URL so that you can access your order and get the renewal code. I am sorry but I cannot see how this site can possibly help you resolve a billing issue with Symantec. Nor can I see any possible reason why they would have referred you to a third party. You need to take this up with Symantec.

Why is my renewal via my computer not valid-Visa has been charged

Email Norton and tell them your situation, they will tell you what to do to fix the problem seems like a problem that's more there doing than yours.
Or
  1. Start your Norton product.
  2. Do one of the following depending on your Norton product:
    • For Norton 360: Click My Account, and in the My Account window, click Renew Subscription.
    • For Norton 2009 products: At the top right corner of the window, click Help & Support > Subscription Status. Skip to Step 6.
    • For Norton 2008 products: In the bottom-left corner, click Subscription.
    • For Norton 2007 products: On the product tab, click Support, and then click Subscription.
    • For Norton 2006 products: On the Help & Support menu, click Subscription.
  3. Click I have already purchased a subscription, check my subscription status.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Next.
Your Norton product checks your subscription status. This could take a minute or two.
  6. Read the information in the Status check panel, and then click Finish.
Your subscription expiration date should now be correct.
If this helps you out, feel free to leave positive feedback. Thanks for stopping at Fixya !
