Does your laptop have a switch on the side or Fn key (blue icons on the F keys) to turn on/off the wifi.

Sometimes Fn + F2 will toggle the wifi on/off.

Post your make/nodel laptop and OS for more specific advice

I avoid using client utilities with wifi. In the conection "allow windows to manage connection" and see if you can connect

I suggest you go back to basics.

uninstall the cisco util and the card driver reboot and then install only the card driver...

check that the OS recognises the card and it powers up ok and it gets an IP etc.

OK try this, start, settings, network connections, right click the wifi conection and select properties,in the wireless network tab, ensure that "use windows to configure wifi" is ticked,

press the "view wireless networks" button

    does you router come up?

If not connect to your router via ethernet cable and go into the wifi settings and ensure that the wifi settings are set to "broadcast SSID" and try above again.

Another possible option is to try the wifi settings with the WEP or WPA set to none/disabled to see if it is a security issue preventing the card from connecting and gettingan IP.

also check in device manager, right click the wifi adaptor and in general ensure that device is enabled, also my wifi has an "ON" button in the advanced tab...

Pi21ag-a-k9 driver for windows 7

The latest driver provided by Cisco systems for the PI21AG PCI 802.11a/g adapter was for Windows Vista (Version 1.1A). Currently no Windows 7 driver is listed in the downloads in the software center on Cisco.com. Windows XP and 2000 Drivers are also available (WinXP install wizard is 4.5). Sometimes the Windows Vista or Windows XP drivers can be used in Windows 7 and you may try that. Driver downloads can be found at https://software.cisco.com/download/type.html?mdfid=278853379&flowid=7244&sc=Y&softwareid=280775081

I just got a labtop and i would like to install linksys notebook adapter to the labtop how do i install linksys without internet to my labtop?

Well first of all you need the drivers installed before the adapter will work. If you do not have internet then you must go to the Library or a friends home that does have internet, click on this link and download the drivers to a thumb drive or burn to a cd or dvd. after than insert the media into your laptop and install from the thumb driver or cd, here is the link hope this helps. :) http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/adapters/WPC54G/download You will find the download link toward the bottom of the page.

Will not connect to remote wireless WRT160N

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.
Also this router has issue with the Firmware. Try to upgrade the firmware of the router.

Cisco Aironet350(AIR-PCM352) compatible with vista

Sorry to say but this adapter don't have a driver for windows Vista so the chance that it will work with it is very small, the possibility that this device has a built in driver on vista is also a small chance so its safe to say it wont work with vista...
