I recommend taking the phone to your phone carrier's store. They will answer all questions and even set it all up for you for free. Usually, the reason for a dual simcard is because the USA/Canada uses one type of system and EU etc use a different system, and it allows you to switch between the two automatically.
if it cant read your sim card it must be something with your hardware. either get your simcard replaced or itll be the simcard slot in your phone.
check the slot with a different sim card and if it works then its your sim card that doesnt work.
if they both dont work try them both on a different phone and if they work there get your phone checked.
that mean if your samsung is no signal or not read the simcard. try to use another simcard, change setting Phonebook to use Simcard Phonebook, and Open the Phonebook. if there you found the Contact on phonebook, that meaning if your samsung can reading the simcard. but if still Emergency Call, you need to bring it to phone service.
Try removing the simcard and the battery. Then replace both and check if the problem is fixed. If not, remove the simcard, replace back the battery then do a master reset. Press menu then scroll to Advanced, Connectivity, Master reset, Reset Defaults > Reset Settings or Reset Defaults. If it still won't work, try using a different simcard. Your simcard might be defective.

I am pretty sure when you dropped the camera the simcard reader was damaged and can no longer read your cards properly!
The camera can be fixed but it must be sent back to the manufactorer for repair! (this is a common problem when thses type of cameras are dropped or shaken!
I hope I was of help!
