Hi-

USB ports, i think for input signals you only have DVI-D, VGA ports. I checked on the website for specifications and they don't have USB ports...

Please keep us updated for more info, thanks!!

How to enable highspeed usb on neclcd1770nx monitor

On most monitors that have usb ports you have to run a usb cable from the computer to the monitor to get the usb ports to work.

If your computer is not equipped with high speed usb ports you can purchase a pci usb adapter card that can make it usb 2.0 which is considered high speed.

Try purchasing one from Tiger Direct at:

http://www.tigerdirect.com

Below is a link to one that I use which costs $9.99

HELLO I NEED TO KNOW IF MY PC CAN HANDLE TWO MONITORS. I WANT ONE TO SHOW EMAIL AND THE OTHER TO SHOW WHAT I'M WORKING ON IN EXCEL. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Hi

You do not say which operating system you are using.

This depends on your graphics card.

Right click on your desktop > Properties (Personalize) > (Display) Settings.

If you can see an image of 2 screens, 1 large, 1 small with the number 1 and 2 on them, then your graphics card can handle 2 monitors. When you connect the 2nd monitor you can use this control to switch between 1, 2 or both monitors, both monitors showing as 1 large screen or a split screen

If not, you will need to buy and install a dedicated grahics card matching your monitor(s)' port types and with Dual Monitor capability. Choose one with 2 video ports for maximum flexibility.

I hope this helps.

My computer seems to boot up fine but my monitor says no signal and my keyboard doesnt work

You can try tighten up the cable behind the monitor or disconnect the cables and reconnect. You can try another monitor to see whether the mother board and the cable works. Some settings in BIOS may be changed to use on-board video card (the one embeded on the mother board, which is connected on the ports out of the card slots) on your computer so make sure it is using the graphic card that is connected to the monitor. For keyboard, if may be mechanic issue on port or keys or cables if you will not see anything wrong about the keyboard. You can try to use another USB port if it is an USB keyboard or use a USB/PS2 converter if the PS2 keyboard port is not working. If it is a PS2 keyboard, you can check whether the pins are bent and reconnect it. Sometimes that helps. If it is a wireless keyboard, then you will need to fix the monitor and then maybe fix the driver and stuff. You can remove all objects beneath the keys by putting it upside down and shake it or use a blower.

Where is the USB port located on my Dell monitor?

Hi bonit,
What I really need to help you is the brand and model of the monitor. I looked up the specs for your computer and found nothing about a specific monitor that was sold with that unit. If you can tell me the brand and model number of the monitor I might be able to answer your question.
Another question I have is what do you want to use the USB port on your monitor for. There are very few monitors that support USB video feeds, most use VGA, DVI, or some high end monitor even have an HDMI connection. In my monitor I have a USB hub built in, but that has nothing to do with the video, it allows me to connect multi USB devices.
If you can give me more info I can help you.

How do I add an additional viewing monitor to my Gateway Profile 5.5 computer. My computer has no monitor out ports

IF you have an unused USB port, it is possible to plug a USB to Video adapter into the empty port. These devices are fairly new and will not provide the refresh speeds you get with the internal video adapter. If your second monitor has a fast refresh rate (a CRT or even a fast LCD) it may be acceptable. If you Google USB video adapter" you will get lots of hits. I cannot recommend any of these devices because I have no personal experience with them. I would select a USB to Video adapter using the same requirements and standards that I would use for an internal video card.

Why don't the usb ports work on the side of monitor

is there an extra cable, aside from the Power Cord, and the VGA Cable? if not, look on the back of the monitor, there should be a similar plug in like a USB printer would have, its kinda square. If there is, you just need a USB printer cable to make it work.

My 2 usb ports on my monitor not working

In order for the two USB ports on the monitor to work, the monitor itself has to be connected to your computer via another USB cable with connectors that look like this:
8130925.jpg
The flat connector goes into an available USB port on your computer, the square one plugs into your monitor. Check if your cable is connected properly or exchange it with another one.
To eliminate that there is something wrong with your "not recognized device", plug this device into another USB port of your computer. The reason to preferably remove the device safely in Windows is that you can loose data if you just unplug it. If it is an external harddrive, it can get damaged, because you interrupt the power and the read/write head can get "stuck". So check this device on another computer or USB port.

If you have any other questions or something is not clear to you, just come back here and leave a comment and I'm happy to help.
