The camera on my laptop, model MT616 does not work anymore. If I click on the camera button it does nothing.

Get ahold of Gateway **NOW**, in case your warranty is about to run out.

I can't find your laptop in Gateway's database. Try poking around here, either with your serial number (this page) or by clicking the "Browse all downloads" tab and typing in your model number, which may be missing a number.
If you're browsing, hit "Display results" at the bottom before you enter anything in for question 4.
There should be some Webcam software, including a newer version of the drivers and a firmware update- - which will actually make the camera itself work differently.
Also look to see if there's any software from Gateway itself. Sometimes manufacturers build their own software to set up one button to enter a power management screen, one button to enter a setup screen, one button to open e-mail, etc. There may be similar controlling software for your camera.
