I have exactly the same problem with my Labtec Ultrawireless desktop USB.
    P/N: 867768-0100
    PID: PN719KA

My mainbord is a Asus P5B. Problem was with all Bios''s, so it is not a bios issue.

I thought i went crazy - checked everything Bios, Memory, graphics.

I changed all, Vista stayed unstable.

Even during installation of Vista the PC froze, after filling in the serial number... regardless of vista 32 or 64 bit.

When i booted up de task bar always frooze.

This is definitive a Labtec drivers issue for Vista.

After changing to Logitec mouse and keyboard - everything works flawlessly.

I worked as head of technical department for a computer firm, i know what i am talking about.

Avoid this product if you have Vista. XP or Linux is no problem at all.

Sounds like a driver issue, try uninstalling the driver and software for the k/b and mouse and reinstalling them. Also there may be a newer version of drivers on the Labtec website

Mouse will not unfreeze after i put router on my computer

Take the router off and see if it unfreezes. I doubt that your router has anything to do with your mouse freezing. I would say you might have a virus or infection so run a scan. Also you mouse might be going bad.

Try booting up in Safe Mode and see if your mouse freezes. If it does not, surely a virus or infection is attaching your mouse.

Make sure you are not pulling the mouse out of the computer if the end that goes into the computer's green port is round. The round mouse (PS2/Serial) cannot be pulled from the computer and expected to work unless you reboot.

The Flat USB mouse (the end that plugs into the computer is flat) is a plug and play mouse and can be pulled and reinserted into the computer without rebooting.

Labtec wireless desktop.

Could be radio interference from somewhere. I tracked my similar mouse problem down to emissions from the ethernet adapter that connects over the house mains wiring. Try the using the mouse close to the receiver, if it works ok interference is likely.
