I have a Proscan that will sometimes come on by repeatedly pressing the power button and then sometimes it will not. I have unplugged the unit and left it that way for a couple of hours and then plugged it back in to try and reset the system. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Is there anything else that I can do or am I going to have to take it to a repair shop?

Yes my friend you have to send it to a qualified repair shop because you have a leaky electrolytic capacitor on the low voltage power supply sometimes on the regulator section.Leaky electrolytic capacitor will affect the performance or the power supply that's why sometimes it will power on and sometimes not. It will getting worst and worst if will not isolated.
It is better to send to repair to isolate the faulty capacitor or do resoldering on some dry joints around the regulator section because sometimes dry joints will do the same thing like what you have experienced.

Does a proscan model PLED5544U have a reset button

The Proscan PLED5544U is a 55-inch LED TV. While it doesn't have a physical reset button, there are a few ways you can reset it:
  1. Unplug the TV: Unplugging the TV from the power outlet for a few minutes can help reset it. This allows any residual power to dissipate and can clear any minor software glitches.
  2. Use the remote control: Press and hold the power button on the remote control for at least 10 seconds. This can sometimes reset the TV.
  3. Use the menu: If you can access the TV's menu, you can try resetting it through the settings. Go to the "Settings" menu, then "System" or "General" settings. Look for an option to reset the TV to its factory settings.
If none of these steps work or if you're experiencing other issues with your TV, it may be best to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance.

Proscan TV HDMI no signal

I presume the non HDMI inputs including component work---what are you feeding to the two inputs in question?

Game unit?
Output from a Computer?
Output from a HD cable box?

First thing I would do is go into menu and make sure those inputs are not "grayed out" means locked out.

Second thing I would do is if from only one kind of unit you are trying each input (understand I have seen this before) to disconnect power from set and from whatever is providing the signal.

Sometimes a glitch can occur and if someone tries to connect things with either or both units powered this can be the result--HDMI in some cases does not like that--and a set can sometimes detect nothing is connected and lock that input out if you do it with the units powered up.

The remaining possible answers are:

A bad board which has the HDMI connections on it (unlikely but possible)

The set (if it has it) needs a hard reset done to restore to factory settings.

The set may also have a software/firmware update available for this.

If its Proscan (Thompson--RCA/GE/PROSCAN) INFO or help from them is going to be nearly impossible to obtain.

Programming comcast remote

the codes for the remote to access a Proscan TV are as follows: 11447, 10047, or 11347. I assume you know how to get into the remotes coding mode, but if you don't Here is how you go about it press setup, then press and hold the TV button until the light flashes then input one of the code sets, then if you get a confirming flash hit the power button if the TV turns off your golden if it didn't repeat the cycle with the next set of numbers I gave you. if after you have tried all three numbers you still can't get the TV to react to the remote you will need to call 1-800-COMCAST and speak to someone on their technical staff.

Panasonic KX TG9331 no link to base Even standing next to the base, I cannot answer the call. Sometimes repeated pressing of the talk button lets me talk. Also, switching to speaker phone sometimes drops...

Sounds like a defective handset or base unit. Unplug the base unit from power and the telephone jack. Leave unplugged for 1 minute, this sometimes helps the phone to reset from a problem. Unplug the battery from the handset and plug back in after a minute also to help reset. Place your handset in the base unit for about 1 minute to allow the handset to link up with the base unit. If this doesn't work you may have a defective phone. Contact Panasonic support for further information if this does not work.

Once your in the "hidden" menu, select reset user data.. your unit will reset and everything will be clean. If your trying to delete specific addresses I would use software to sync up and explore your MRM's files.
