The problem of my Acer TravelMate 3270 is no display in the LCD Monitor even the computer is power on & completely loading the OS. I tried to connect an external monitor thru the vga port but no display at all even trying hard to switch the display from LCD display to external monitor using the Fn + F5 combination. I able to probe that the unit is working as I able to play Audio Cd & movie from my CD compilation. Please give me advice about the problem of my TravelMate 3270.

Hi there,

Did you make any hardware or software changes in your computer after which this is happening?
Which is your operating system?
Do you see Black screen after os loads up? if yes then its a black screen error.

A black screen may occur if there is a problem with the video card drivers and Windows 7. To resolve this problem please follow these steps:

1. Restart the computer.
2. Press the F8 key before it enters Windows.
3. Select the Safe Mode option in the Advanced Boot Options menu and press Enter.

NOTE: If Safe Mode does not work please retry the first two steps and select the Enable low-resolution video (640x480) option instead. If this option is selected your desktop will be bigger than usual - this is by design.

4.
Once in your desktop, click on Start and select the Control Panel.
5. Select the Hardware and Sound option and then click on Device Manager under Devices and Printers.
6. Expand the Display adapters list - this should display the video card that is currently installed on your computer. Please note the make and model before proceeding.
7. Right click the video card under Display Adapters and select Disable.
8. Repeat this step if more than one video card is showing under Display Adapters.
9. Once all display adapters have been disabled restart the computer in normal mode.

At this point you should be able to get into your computer without a problem; however, your video card is disabled so you will need to download and install the latest drivers for it. If you had noted the make and model of card when you were in the device manager you can search for this on the internet and/or contact the hardware manufacturer for help. Once the drivers are installed correctly on the system you should be able to boot normally without any resolution problems.

Post back we will be happy to help you.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!!

Acer Travelmate 3270 won't start?

Could be corrupt cmos, bad hard drive, bad memory, bad peripheral.
Remove hard drive and perform diagnostics on it to make sure it is good and not the source of issue.
Then check to see if machine is posting - if not, then you are in deep doo doo because without a posting procedure you cannot repair your OS, install a new one, nada.

Camera driver for travelmate 3270 in w7

Hi

If you click on this link it should take you to the acer site to get your camera driver
i didn't actually see one which specify windows 7 but one for vista may work

http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=217

also if you go to
start
programs
accessories
scanner/camera wizard
it will show you the make of the webcam so that you will know which one to download

Also they have a scanner at the top of the page if you click on that and then go to the top of the
page within a few seconds you will have to allow it to load

then it will scan you computer and possible offer you the correct driver
or even other driver updates

good luck

The acer travelmate 3270 freezes after signing / logging in

Could be an issue wth the OS. Take a data backup and do an OS reinstallation. or you can do a complete system recovery by the recovery manager in the notebook.

Start>All Programs>Acer>Acer Erecovery Management

Allow the program to run. Select the option 'Restore'. Click on 'Completely Restore to Factory Defaults". then click on start or ok and let it restore.

TravelMate 3270-6569 (LX.TH706.051) PC Notebook: My acer travelmate 3270 is connected to a sony dat...

Try holding down the Function key (Fn), then pressing F5. Wait a few seconds. On most laptop, each press of the F5 key will toggle between laptop display only, projector only and Dual (same image on both - my favorite).

You'll probably see a little Monitor-shaped icon on the F5 key. It's possible it's another function key - on Dells it's usually F8.
