Green light flashing on bosch no frost freezer

The green light usually indicates the operating temperature. If flashing , the freezer should be running and cooling. Once it gets to temperature, the light should stay on. Is the food still frozen or is it thawed out?

Freezer light blinking & the indicator light is not on my Kenmore freezer model#28432

The light is blinking to tell you that it is not refrigerating or its not down to temperature yet. It could be a faulty thermostat or a fault in the refrigeration system.

I have a Fisher & Paykel fridge purchassed in 2000. Freezer below type. The internal light has gone out and the temp indicator light is flashing intermittently. 10 mins later the light is back on and...

Check the light switch in that section your having issues in, sounds like a light switch failure and the thermostat to protect the cooling ability is protecting your food currently. If the is and issue, loosen or remove the light bulbs, if problem goes away replace the switch.

Good Luck

What are the green and red lights for?

Not 100% certain what the lights are for but if the freezer is not working it could be a few things. 1 power supply 2 dead fans 3 dead compresser 4 bat thermostat 5 plugged cap tube 6 coil is frozen up meaning bad defrost timer. Could be any one of those problems.

I have a Fisher and Paykel fridge E521T. It is about 10 years old. The green light was flashing and it wasn't freezing as well as it should, so I pulled the back from the freezer compartment and it...

First a note: the defrost system (fan and element) are not on all the time. The defrost fan usually comes on once every several hours (8 hours in F&P fridges with defrost control).

The problem is usually the defrost thermostat. The thermostat is installed in line with the fan and heater element. If the thermostat is faulty the fan and element will not get any power.

The thermostat can be tested using a multimeter. If reading impedance across the two thermostat's contacts the multimeter stays on infinity, then the thermostat is open and must be replaced. A different kind of test is made jumping the thermostat. If the fan and element work with thermostat removed and contact jumped, then the thermostat has gone.

Belling bk29 fridge freezer. freezer working but fridge not working. compressor running, thermostat set to 5, light working ok, defrost switch off.

If there is no cooling at all on the fridge section but the freezer works then it is confirmed that the compressor and gas pressure is OK. Now shut off the fridge and leave it powered off while you clean and check the evaporator for frost. If frost is seen it is a good indication as the compressor is working with sufficient gas within.
Now after about 6 hours plug in the fridge to start. Observe cooling to happen in about one hour and ice to from under three hours.
Earlier make sure that the thermostat was set to normal mode for freezer and fridge.
However if ice forms in the freezer then observe the fridge for about 24 hours for cooling to continue and the fridge to cut off . If not the auto defrost timer, or the thermostat must be checked. Frost formation without defrosting could block the air flow and so shut the air passage to the fridge. Also the blower fan must work and if this is not working then the fan can be faulty. Also a fault on the control unit is a suspect to non functioning of any one of these components.
If defrost timer works but frost keeps forming check while the compressor shuts if the heaters are working, check continuity of the heaters.
So try this test using a multi-meter on the defrost timer and the thermostat and make your observations so that we come to the solution.

Freezer FZ175 Red Warning Light is flashing

The flashing red light indicates the problem in the temperature of the unit. The temperature is rising over then required so the red light is flashing. There are some possibilities that you will have to get checked.
1) Make sure your freezer/refrigerator door is closing properly and sealing all around. If the doors are not closing properly then this can lead to rise in temperature.
2) If doors are proper and closed properly then other possibility is to check the compressor .Check the compressor is it running properly or its not running.Beside the compressor there is a fan if the fan is running the compressor is turning on if fan is not running the compressor is not running. If the unit is not getting very cold this also indicates the problem is in the compressor section.A weak or faulty compressor causes the temperature rise problem.
3) If compressor also checks out ok then the other possibility is fault in the thermostat of the unit. The thermostat is getting overheated and this is causing the red light flashing.
4) Before replacing any part in the unit try the defrost procedure first .Keep the unit unplugged from power and keep both the freezer/refrigerator doors open .let it remain unplugged for 24 hours. Then reconnect the power and check for some time.If the unit works properly that means defrost procedure solved the problem. But if same error light comes On flashing that means the faulty part needs replacement.

Icebuildup on rear wall of frig , caked up ice on the freezer flo

This is possibly your thermostat which needs to be replaced. Make sure that the fanmotor in the cabinet is working and you have airflow. If no airflow this could also indicate that the defrost system is faulty.
