I am also changing a drum and after I changed the drum the copies beganto get lighter and lighter, why is this? Also does direct light affectthe drum during the installation process? I followed the instructionswhy would my copies be so light I can't read them? Thanks Jim
Direct light can effect the copies. Your unit may also need developer as well. If the developer is low or gone out of the unit, light copies will appear as well.

your toner should be AR-270NT or AR-310NT. Try cleaning off the brass colored contacts in the plug on the back of the toner cartridge. The toner may also be faulty (try another) Also the contacts inside the copier may need to be cleaned by your copier technician.
Did you mean drum frame unit ? This frame include all the spare parts of drum unit except drum and drum fixing plate. The code number is AR 310 DU ( DRUM FRAME UNIT ).
DRUM : AR 310 DR
CL. BLADE : AR 271 AK
DEVELOPER : AR 271 SD
Push P * C* in quick succession to enter simulation mode. Once there, enter 16 on the keypad. push the print button (like making a copy). Push 1 for yes then print button again. push the CA button. Copier should reboot and run fine for you.
Hi, i assume you have a drum to replace it with?. Can't really clean them as they are very sensitive. Why does it need changing, your copy quality is effected?. It is a faily straight forward procedure.
