Change my belt on a Fantom vacuum model number is f1420gf

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The belt change on the Fantom is to remove the bottom plate by undoing the screws, clips or levers, then cut off the old belt, remove the brushroll on the pulley side and place the new belt on the pulley side and replace the brushroll. Then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a hook on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line. The replace the bottom plate and you should be fine. The recommended belt change on a vacuum with a flat belt is every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning and always use the genuine belts for the Fantom. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Sweeper belt

Greetings from GoVacuum.com,

Have you replaced the belt with a new one yet? You may want to try replacing the belt, as with flat belts like the Fantom Thunder, they do stretch out 4 -5 inches after time. We in fact recommended replacing a flat belt every year, even if the belt doesn't break, because of the stretching. I think what may have happened, is that your belt is stretched to the point where it will not stay on the pulley as soon as there is any tension (putting the brushes on carpeting), which will cause the belt just to slip off.

You should be able to replace the belt (very inexpensive, we sell Fantom belt for $2) and this should take care of the problem. When you replace the belt, you should also take the roller brush apart and remove any hair, or thread that may be wrapped around the bearings. You should be able to remove the bearing cap by pulling them, or holding one end, and unscrewing the other.

I'd even be willing to send you a free Fantom Thunder belt, if you'd be so kind to vote Fixya for this answer :-) Just send me an email with your name, address, and the exact model number (located on the back of the machine, or the bottom of it) of your vacuum, and vote Fixya, I'll immediately ship you the belt for free!

Please let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with.

How on God's green earth do I open the Fantom 12 amp to fix the beater brush belt?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are probably 2 ways to get @ the belt, usually there are screws, clips or levers on the bottom side of the bottom plate and once they are removed you should be able to get @ the belt, if not then the top cover should come off and then you should be able to get @ the belt. At this point you should be able to get @ the belt to change it. #2. you can always refer to your Fantom owner’s manual for additional information. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Broken Belt for Fantom Crosswind 600XL

Hello, your Fantom vacuum will take a Panasonic U vac belt, to replace it, their are two screws in the back, one on each side of the back of the housing, take out the two screws and lift off the top hood, and the vac belt is on the side, remove the brush roller clean any debis away, put the new belt around the metal motor shaft first then around the brush roller, and pull down into the housing, make sure it locks in evenly, then turn the roller to make sure it moves freely. then put the hood back on front first, hold down and put the screws back in, in the back. now your ready to vacuum. Can you give me directions on changing a shark Euro-Pro UV219CS vacuum belt?
Thank you.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Shark vacuum cleaner belt is a side driven belt and you need to remove the bottom plate and remove the belt and place the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and make sure the ends are the same, insert the brushroll and then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and the track it in a straight line, replace the bottom plate. If you need further assistance please fee free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer with questions.
