How to make your own cheap dry box

Hi all,

I would like to share tips of making your own dry-box
What you`ll need are:
-1 plastic compartment, you can find it easily at the supermarket
-1 pack of silica gel / dehumidifier
-1 hygrometer (optional)
-1 thermometer (optional)

It costs me only US$ 4 only (hygrometer and thermometer not included), and this DIY dry-box keeps my camera and lenses safe from fungus and humid weather

Hope this tips is worth!!

what is the dash compartment strAPS CALLED that hold the door on dash open.

Hi Donald:
They are usually just as you describe, "dash compartment" or "glove box" restraining strap.
They are often called "broken".
If you try using Google with the make, year, and model, with the description "glove box parts diagram" you might just get all the info that you need.

The plastic tray at bottom in the fridge just above freezer compartment has a slight crack. Can this be repaired

Hi, they can be repaired with a plastic solvent glue usually comes in tubes. Make sure the tray is dry and at room temperature before putting the glue on. It should slightly melt the plastic and fuse it together. I would put another coat of glue on once the first coat is dry.

I need a replacement battery compartment for my pony is there anywhere where one of these is available?

Call Hasbro's Customer Service and see if they can offer any suggestions. If they make any other FurReal friends that are so large that they require 6 D cells, then the box would probably fit. If they don't you'll have to do some internet searches for "Plastic On Off Battery Compartment" or see if HASBRO can tell you what the part number was and you can try searching for that. Hope that helps.

How do you install the batteys in the stanley tripod legs?

To replace the batteries in each side of the 3-in-1 tripod light, you'll need to slide each light out of the central frame. Once each individual light is out on its own, you should be able to easily unscrew its bottom, giving you access to the battery compartment. Unlike the original Stanley tripod light, the actual tripod legs no longer hold the batteries.

On the original Stanley tripod LED light design, the black tripod leg tips simply unscrewed after you popped them out into the "stand" position. Much simpler to figure out.
