Ipod Touch warranty

I bought an Ipod Touch for my son's graduation. He said he is already having problems with it (not working properly). Is there a warranty on this item? How long? Thanks

Damaged hardware is responsible for the most obvious iPod sound problems. In such cases, Apple may be able to help you fix the problem, depending on the status of your warranty.
All iPods have a one-year warranty according to Apple's website.
Software problems can also affect your audio.
For example, downloading a non-certified Apple application can stop your sound from working correctly.
Returning your iPod to its original factory settings fixes many of these software glitches.

Plug in a different set of headphones and test the sound.
If that set works, your old headphones were the cause of your audio problems.

If your iPod still doesn't work, proceed.
Remove an application on your iPod Touch if you installed it right before your sound stopped working.
Hold your finger over the top left corner of the application.
It will shake.
Touch the "X." Touch the "Home" button.
Restore your iPod to fix other potential software problems.
Open iTunes. Plug the iPod into your computer with a USB cord.
Click on your iPod on the left-hand menu.
The iPod will be listed under the name you assigned it when you first set it up.
Click the "Restore" button on the menu.
Leave the iPod alone while it restores. It may take several minutes.
Test the sound once the restore is complete.
The iPod syncs after restoration.
Once the sync is complete, the process is over.
Contact the Apple Technical Support line at 1-800-275-2273 if your audio still doesn't work.
Have your iPod with you.

Four weeks ago I bought an iPod Touch 32GB. After listening to my iPod on an external speaker I tried using the headphone and the sound is just too low. I thought my headphone was damaged but I tried it on...

Sounds like plugging the external speakers in has damage the spot were the headphones go in. If this is under warranty that bring it to apple store.

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} Hello and thanks for contacting FixYa Technical Support.

Unfortunately, if you cannot recall the Passcode for your son's iPod Touch, then you will have to restore the iPod Touch.

The good thing about a restore however, is if you have previously synced the iPod Touch, when a restore is performed, all the data will be wiped from the iPod, BUT, the most current back up of when you last synced your iPod Touch will restore all the data back to the iPod.

I am providing an article from Apple Support, on how to restore your iPod Touch.
Restoring the iPod Touch

This will be the only way to restore access to the iPod Touch as well as create a new passcode.

I hope this helps.

You may reset or restore your iPod for a try, this can fix many general iPod problems. Or you may take a look at this iPod FAQ, it's informative.

Ipod says sync complete, new songs don't show on iPod

This was happening to my ipod but then i saw that all the songs werent checked off to sync so you have to make sure that thats the problem. If thats not it then try dragging the new songs to the ipod sign under my ipod.

Here is a great step by step guide to do that. http://iphonefreakz.com/beginners-guide/howto-dfu-mode/

it says iphone, but it is basically the same for the ipod touch.

I hope this helps,
