Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
Hi, I recently bought a new adapter (P12), and a new battery recently for my Inspiron 6000. Everything was fine after a month of use until last night when I plugged the adaptor in (it's fine, tested it), and the power was connecting but the battery wasn't charging. I can run the laptop on AC, but it won't charge the battery.
I've since tested the battery on another laptop, and it seems fine. Any suggestions on what's gone wrong?

Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not,
Try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty. If not,
Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.
Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.

Tips for a great answer:
According to your problem, this may occurs for either the
battery of your laptop or the charger is faulty. First check electric outlet where
you have plugged your laptop charger is OK. Then check the power cord. If
everything OK then you have to change the battery.
