Hello, this is very common whats happening is the belt is slipping. You can remove the cover and belt and then simply take a q-tip and alchohol and clean the inside of the belt than reinstall it.Note there are 2 belts the one for the door is the one closest to the fron panel.Make sure door is ejected out and than power disconnected first.

How can i open my cd drive to insert my cd?

If the button on the drive won't pop open the drive, then you need to find out what is causing it to stick closed. Most drives have a tiny hole on the door so you can push a paper clip in it to open the door.

Cd slot doesnt open

There should be a pin hole visible under the tray door that you can stick a paperclip into to force the door open, but you may need a stronger wire than a paperclip because sometimes the paperclip bends. If the pin hole is not visible then chances are it is in the bottom channel of the door. You should push the pin in until it forces the door open. Don't push the pin in while trying the open button on the CD rom or while clicking on the icon on the desktop, that can damage the CD if one is in the drive. Chances are you have a broken drive belt inside the drive and I can't tell you what to do about that other to get another drive as a replacement.

Drawer on cd drive won't open model is gateway digital media center gm5260

There are a couple of possibilities here, first it could just be stuck. If you hit the eject button and light flashes, there may be a stuck factor here. Look for the very small hole on the door by the eject button and push an opened paperclip in the hole, this will trigger the manual eject mechanism. With the tray opened feel the way the tray moves along its geared slide. If it seems too tight or it sticks there maybe something mechanical that has happened to it. Try to close it again and try the eject button and see if it will cycle. Also try to right click on the drive itself (Open "My Computer" to view the drives) and click on "Eject" and see if it triggers the command.

The dvd player tray does not open

# Ensure that any locking feature on the DVD player is disabled.
# Attempt to open the disc tray.
# If the issue is not resolved, turn off the DVD player.
# Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 10 minutes.
# Plug the power cord back into a functional wall outlet.
# Attempt to open the disc tray.
# If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

Onkyo C-707chx cd tray jammed won't open won't play

I have the same exact problem with my Onkyo C-707CHX and I found a solution that doesn't involve jamming any screws or other metal objects into your cd tray (which could most likely just cause more damage). This way seems a little safer: Power on your device and hit the open button. As soon as you hit the open button quickly push slightly with both hands on both sides of the cd tray that should be opening. You should hear the trays moving around in there and then you have to try to feel for a slight push from the tray. As soon as you feel that slight push, take your hands off of the tray and let it come out. This has been working for me for a while now (and hopefully will continue to work until I take it to get fixed somewhere). The only issue I have run into is that my "Disc 1" open button doesn't work with this method. So I just use this method with disc 2 or 3 and then once it's open I can hit the disc 1 button to get to that tray. So if it doesn't work with one tray, try the other two as well. Hope this helps.

DVD Eject tray stuck

I took a stake knife from the kitchen and pried open the tray door as I hit the eject button this got it to open, I then cycled eject and close, eject close a few times and this did the trick, I even played a DVD and that worked fine also. I had the problem with the tray not opening, and the display would read OPEN when I hit eject and I could hear it trying to open. So I wanted to make sure the tray wasn't just stuck or wedged before I took the system apart and looked for sripped out plastic gears or the belt being broken. GoodLuck [email protected]

Dell printer 3100 cn laser

I had the dreaded 024-969 and was just able to print a test page.

I removed paper and reached inside the MPF. There's a spring-loaded lever facing upward, toward the back of the tray that the paper rests on and depresses. I toggled this up and down a dozen times.

I vacuumed out the entire tray area and then blew air into the same area by reversing the shop vac hose connection to the output hole.

Printer now prints.

Xbox 360 tray doesn't open

I have had 1 other person talk to me about this and I had him bring me his 360 to look at and what I found was that his 360 overheated and it actually warped the plastic around the tray. I changed his tray sold him a usb cooling unit and he was been good ever since. When it sticks there is not a lot that can be done other than change the tray. Not an expensive fix but you will have to crack the case to change it. If you have any warranty left cracking the case will void it. If you have any warranty left call microsoft and they will change it for you. If you are out of warranty you can change it yourself if you feel comfortable with it and if you don't I would take it to a game store (GameStop for example) and they can change it for you. The tray unit runs probably about 40.00 and they can change it for probably about 30.00 (it is about a 20 minute job so I would not pay more than that).

Best,
Bob
