I need help on what to use to fix the paint on my vizio tv. I was cleaning the tv screen with film cleaner and i accidently sprayed some on the frame. Now the cleaner ate away at the paint, and it looks like a bunch of scratch marks. So if you can help me out with what product I could use to repair it back again, that you help me out a lot. Thanks!

I have a Vizio 32 inch HDTV . You will have to place it on a flat surface and take all of the back screws off then pull the ( the back cover) backing of the TV. then is what i did was take it to a low pressure air (for tires) then held it away from the electronics in the back of tv and blew it out . then take it home and put it back together then use a cleaner and a non-abrasive rag for your screen
That got rid of those nasty dust bunnies and i am still using that tv as my monitor . ( I hope that helps you out )
buy a solvent called paint thinner from paint selling shops .............. using this paint thinner easily paint on your tv screen can be removed without any damage to screen .......remove tv powercord from power socket ......take thinner in small cup ...... take a small piece of soft clothe ..... dip in that cup such that soft clothe becomes just wet ....then slowly clean that particular place where paint is there .....same time keep another soft dry clothe in your other hand ......while cleaning with thinner paint on screen becomes thin then immediately clean it with other clothe..........remember while cleaning thinner's drops should not fall down & go inside tv through edges of screen ....... since this thinner smells like a paint after cleaning tv screen will have paint like smell ..............so again you have to repeat above steps but this time you have use soap water or any ordinary cleaning solution ....................................... click below shown link for images of thinner..... http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=paint%20thinner&rlz=1R2SUNC_enIN399&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=0l0l0l156l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1024&bih=418&wrapid=tlif131594078475010&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi
A fuzzy picture could be almost anything. You may have to dust the three picture tubes. Use a soft paint brush first and then use a LCD cloth wipe to clean. You can find these clothwipes at any super discount store. And you may dust the inside of the screen itself. Try to dust the screen inside without removing it...removing it, will be almost impossible to reinstall! . Donot clean the mirror inside this TV..as it is a thin piece of film..If you must clean use a new feather duster and be gentle, do not use a cleaner! If this does not clear up the picture..you may have a contaminated picture tube..these are not easy to flushout and replace. And yet there may be a small signal module that may need replaced! This is the board that contains all your RCA jacks and RF connections! Hope this will help. Thanks for asking!
This is the fix for the Main board repair :
Locate IC 32 small 8 pin surface mount near top of Main Board and remove. Short pin 2 to pin 5. (pin 5 through 8 are together and pin 2 and 4 are together)
You will need a good TV Tech to do this for you.
as i previously posted, my picture was dim, muddy looking after replacing lamp with osram lamp. i fixed mine by taking the screen off and cleaning the small mirror. it had a thick layer of dust on it, cleaned with a microfiber cloth. no water, no glass cleaners. i also used a very fine new small paint brush and dusted the projector lens which also had a dust film. brightness, contrast and clarity returned!
Pretty sure you aren't supposed to use any chemical cleaner. I just use one of those pieces of fabric you are supposed to clean your glasses with and it has served me and my VIZIO XVT very nicely! But don't wipe to much because you can damage the pixels and screen. Gently. Hope that helps
there is an antiglare film on the tube. the only way to fix this is to replace the crt itself, but this cast more than the tv. i would find a strong cleaner and rub off as much as you can. it is possible i have done this myself.
