I had the same problem and got the resettor software,it still did not reset the cpe, i took matters into my own hands and shorted the sw1 jumper on the board for about 30 secs.
There 5 small silver strips, 3 are right next to each other ,the other 2 are apart and also next to each other. Short the 2 that lie side by side for about 30 secs and your cpe is reset to factory default.
Well, for you to reset that product you will need a software called Resetor. this you can get from your Local Major Agent/Distributor. that has been the only way ever. i happen to know this because i am a Destributor in Nigera.

The Barracuda Link Balancer is assigned a default LAN IP address of 192.168.200.200. You can change this IP address in one of three ways:
In the web interface, go to the BASIC > IP Configuration page.
Connect a VGA monitor and a keyboard to the back of the Barracuda Link Balancer. Use the serial console. (username admin, password admin)
Press the RESET button on the front panel.
Pressing RESET for five seconds sets the LAN IP address to 192.168.200.200. Pressing RESET for eight seconds changes the LAN IP address to 192.168.1.200. Pressing the button for 12 seconds changes the LAN IP address to 10.1.1.200. You will notice the three LEDs on the front panel flash at the same time intervals.
Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

That's quite a problem huh!
There is no such things you can change your password in your modem if you didn't remember it.
But i do have one solution.
First, you must have to reset the modem to its default value.
the default password there is "admin" without a quote.
That, if your willing to reset your modem.
If you want to reset, then you must find the small button at the back of your modem, just press it
for 10 seconds.
But if you dont remember the IP address, then try this default Ip address:
Access your modem using this Ip address.
hope it helps.
The Linksys configuration URL is http://192.168.1.1 and if you cannot Login or remember the password then you can reset the router back to the factory defaults by -
Power up the Linksys and pressing and holding the pinhole reset button at the back of the Linksys for 30 secs. The router will restart.
Username Login = admin
Password = admin
You can now change the admin password and configure the wireless settings ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption etc.
Don't forget to configure the wireless card in your computer with the router's wireless dettings so the computer can connect to the Linksys.
Is there a RESET button on the back of the router, if so power it up and press the RESET button until all the LEDs flash and reconfigure the router.
Try a different LAN cable, the other could be faulty
Install the latest LAN and wireless card drivers (this problem sometimes occurs when you install a new router).
Check the LAN and wireless cards are functioning correctly in Device Manager.
Open the DOS cmd window.
Test the NIC - loopback test address - ping 192.0.0.1
Ping the router's IP configuration address
Type ipconfig to see what IP address you get (if any)
Type inconfig /renew all - this will (should) get a new IP address from the router's DHCP
I checked it out and it seems you don't have to manually reset/reboot it. You just have to log on to the AP, then choosing REBOOT after you are done, then the changes will that place annd you should be fine.
Note: due to the built-in internal directional patch antenna, repeater mode and WDS option do not apply in WH-5400CPE.
I hope this helps you. Enjoy!
