My pool heater blows the two in-line fuses on the igniter when it tries to start heating. I have installed a new igniter and the same thing happens.

Sounds like a board problem.has it been working and this a sudden problem or is it a new heater that you are trying to put into operation?

It is likely the voltage selector board, the smaller of the two, that is bad. In the past Jandy has recommended changing the heater over to 115V as a better option if you keep loosing the board(s). I forget their exact logic as to why but the last one of those I had behave like this was a few years ago and once we replaced all the burned up electronics and converted the power and the heater over to 115 it never failed again.

Perhaps Jandy would explain further if you need additional info, try calling:

Why would the hot surface igniter burn out in two months?

It is very frail if you bump the heater hard while it is hot or cold you can crack it. If you have any water leak inside the heater or a condensation problem that drips water on it while it is hot this will break it every time.

5 year old Laars 25,000 LX won't ignite.

The low pressure indicator is for the gas pressure not the water pressure. The heater won't ignite because it's not getting gas to the igniter. Check gas supply, if okay, check gas connections, valves, etc.

The 1 HP motor should be fine on the jacuzzi.
