I have one of these machines and have great difficulty obtaining the right discs for it.There seem to be hundreds of different sorts of discs on the market.I have had some success with JVC andMaxell-11 80When buying look at the CD logo it must say Compact disc digital audio.Hope this helps.Regards snowyirv46
You can do this with your PC. Download a program called Audacity. It's free. With it, you can record audio from your Line IN connector. You'll need to connect your cassette player to the Line in on your PC. Start Audacity, set it to record and play your tape.
If you want to save the files as a .mp3, you'll also need to download the LAME mp3 encoder. In any case, when you have the file recorded, export it as a .mp3 or .wav and then use your CD burning program to create the CD.
This is an "Mp3-CD player," which is not the same as an "Mp3 player." This device will only play mp3 songs that are recorded onto a CD in audio format. It will not take songs from iTunes, etc. By the way, iTunes songs are AAC format, rather than Mp3 format, so you can't just burn iTunes songs onto a CD and expect it to work with this player either. Sorry.
If your cd player supports MP3 playback. When you write a music disc with your computer you must write them as a data file. Some burning software will ask if you want MP3 or CDA. if your files are CDA you must convert them to MP3s, you can download software to do this for you. But today most burning software will do this for you.
