Unable to access my emails

Which email account ?
Most email users experience that dread of realizing they can't access their messages at some point, but the trick is not to panic.

Microsoft has procedures in place to help you get back into your Hotmail and see what is waiting for you in your inbox.

Check you username and password.
Hotmail passwords are case sensitive, so something as simple as having your caps lock on can keep you from accessing your account.

Double check to be sure you are typing both your username and password exactly how you created them.

Reset your password. If you haven't logged into your Hotmail in some time and suspect you might be using the wrong password, click the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the Hotmail log-in page.

On the next screen, follow the prompts to enter your email address and the given security verification code.

Click "continue" and on the next screen, select the option that allows you to answer your pre-set security question.

This is a question you supplied when you set up your Hotmail account.
After correctly answering the question, you will be prompted to reset your password.

Clear your browser history and temporary Internet folders if you are continually getting a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" message when you log in.

The exact procedure for doing this depends on your operating system and browser.
If you continue to get see this message, it could indicate a problem with the Hotmail server.

Check the status of the network on a site like Down Right Now that reports server problems on popular sites.

Submit a support request on the Windows Live page.
On the Windows Live site, select "Hotmail" under "Standard Services."
A search screen will open that will allow you to check out a variety of Hotmail related support topics.

At the bottom of that screen, choose "get more help" and then "support."
A support form will open for you to complete and submit to the Hotmail team.

You will receive an answer within 24 hours.
Note that you will need a second email account that you can access so that the Hotmail support staff can send you your answer.

How to reinstall hotmail

Actually hotmail is not on your computer. That's why you can go to the library, go to a school or university or anywhere and get on another computer and get to your emails. They reside on hotmails server (computer). Your computer is just a way of getting to their site.
Acatully all you did was set up an account with them to have email access. You can probably delete the account, change the account or create a new one. But you never installed it on your computer.

First make sure the Internet is working.
If it is then try to login with the same username and password on www.hotmail.com if you can log in then it's a problem with outlook express if you cant then that is the problem.
To make sure outlook express is correct click on Tools, Accounts then click on Mail tab and then click on your email address and select properties make sure the username and password are correct or retype them.

I can not recive or send emails. There is a block on my hotmail account for my emails.I would be grateful if this can be solved as i use this service to get jobs.thankyou

If you don't use your hotmail address for more than three months your account will be deactivated automatically in such a case you log through your MSN or windows live messenger with this same address and reactivate your hotmail if not possible you may contact msn authority to reactivate your account, they will do it if its not deleted account for some reason.

Are you using to access your mail via a network where there is firewall or proxy blocked for accessing hotmails and other mails.

If you got a stand alone machine and internet access please check your security setting and change it to low or medium and check its working

I downloaded norton anti virus about seven months ago,and last week my hard drive crashed,i have had a new hard drive fitted but do i have to pay to have norton downloaded again?

Hey helen185,

If you've had to restore your computer and need to reinstall Norton Anti-Virus, you should be able to download the software a second time as long as you have access to your order number and/or Norton account information. You should be able to do so by following this link:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/cs/kbload.jsp?docurl=step_2007102605434976&selected_nav=1&prev_id=downloads_orders_01&prev_link=link_02

Please keep in mind that the software you purchased may need to be Norton 2006 or a more recent edition in order to be downloaded a second time, as information provided by the publisher indicates that older downloads are no longer available.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
