Hotpoint Tumble Dryer keeps pausing

That sounds like an overheating problem. When the machine pauses, the blower fan stops running and that allows the heat to build up enough to trip the high level thermostat. You can test this by running a cool cycle.

Drive belts don't squeak because they are made of rubber. Things that do squeak are rear drum bearing, front bearings or drum slides, idler pulley wheels or the tension springs.

The machine needs a full strip down, cleaning, de-fluffing and lubrication. Also check the exhaust hose and the grill outside except it appears you have a condensing dryer. Make sure that unit is clean..

My Frigidaire Affinity front load will start any cycle but continuously stops and takes forever to resume the cycle. How can I correct this or get it to do a full cycle without the frequent pauses? It's...

Good Afternoon Shae, thanks for your post!

From what the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer will start, then stop and take a long time to resume the cycle. It sounds like you could have an issue with your control panel, door latch, or sensor. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would suggest contacting a professional technician for a proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this information is helpful. -Matt

Fills, goes 4 minutes and fills, pauses, then fills, pauses then fills, over and over

Sounds like its syphoning out the water. If it was overfilling, you would have water everywhere, the machine would eventually flood. Check the drain hose. Make sure the end is higher than the water level in the machine and that there are no extensions running outside which have an end lower than the water level in the machine, it will start syphoning, usually after the first pump out.

My washer pauses at rinse cycle and won't continue

Hi Friend, thank you for your inquiry!

If you are receiving an error code PAUSE, it commonly indicates that the door of your washer is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Let's try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume cycle. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, try reprogramming your appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your washer. If the issue persists, then your washer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best - Z

Simpson Ezi Sensor Front Loader keeps pausing during washes, doesn't put through the detergent.

you might be putting the detergent in the wrong part of the dispenser,or you might have the hose on the wrong way,or the water valve has failed. Read up on your user manual to see what happens on this part of the cycle, does the w/m empty ,then try and bring in more water?? The main give away to this fault is,detergent still in the dispenser.Check all your filters on your inlet hose and water valves.
You have to ask yourself what has changed, cheers.

Du1100xtpq7 has had the touch pad replaced along with the circuit board that goes behind it and yet it just keeps repeating the wash cycle and goes for hours

i would guess that you are having a problem with the optical sensor inside the pump housing. it is suppose to sense when the water is clean or dirty and allow the unit to continue washing or advance to the next cycle.
i have seen these test good but be just out of calibration enough to cause long run times.
you can try to change it yourself or have the service company try that instead of a new board and panel.

Rental...no manuel...first time using washer. pushed regular, large, cold, pause resume. When it finished filling with water it beeps 3x than stops for a couple minutes then beeps 3x etc. It is filled...

Your problem is with the pause/resume button. This button allows you to add/remove items before the cycle is complete. If you press this button and there is water in the machine it will beep for a period of time (3 mins) and then empty the machine automatically so you can open the door. After opening the door the cycle can be restarted again by pressing the pause/resume button again.

Washer won't run through a complete cycle-stops at 29 minutes

There is a service manual behind the control panel it will show you how to test the door locks. If might have a bad lock solenoid.

2000 Dodge Stratus

The first thing I would do is check the Transmission Control Module (TCM) for stored codes. To call up codes, cycle ignition switch on, off, on, off and on within 5 seconds. Stored codes will be indicated by flashes of the check engine lamp. The codes will be indicated as two digit numbers, with a four second pause between codes. An example of a code scan is as follows:
  • Power Loss/Check Engine Lamp illuminated for approximately 2 to 3 seconds as a bulb check, then turns off.
  • Lamp flashes 2 times, pauses, then flashes 6 times.
  • Lamp pauses for approximately 4 seconds.
  • Lamp flashes 3 times, pauses, then flashes 1 time.
This would indicate that code 26 and 31 are stored. The lamp will continue to flash until all stored codes have been displayed.
If we are lucky we'll get some codes to work with. This will show you any transmission codes.

I found that a code 31 on a 94 Voyager indicates an evaporative emissions problem, but I'm not sure whether that code applies to your car as well. Have the ECU scanned at AutoZone and see what comes up. They'll do it for free and will give you the codes. Then you can post them up and we'll see what we can do about them.
