Remove the ac adapter and battery. Hold the power botton down for 1 minute to discharge the system. Reconnect the ac adapter and restart the computer. If it doesn't restart then your notebook needs a new system board. Check your warranty and return to HP for repair. Remove the hard drive from the notebook if you want to keep your files intact. HP can repair your notebook without the hard drive. I bought mine 18 months ago and the system board is covered for 2 years.

I am on auto refill and my magicJack quit working I use for my fax machine and do not get any dial tone. I have tried unplugging etc and still does not work, What is wrong?

Is your Magic Jack plugged into AC wall current with a Power Adapter?
If so, try powering the MJ directly off a USB port on a computer.
The MJ power adapter is prone to failure. On the MJ plus, there is a blue power light in the shape of a cross near the word "plus". That light should be illuminated when plugged into a USB port or a power adapter. If the light is out when using the power adapter, then the power adapter is dead. If the light is out either way, then the MJ is probably dead.

I'm having trouble with the pin out connections on a syntax motherboard. Where can i find a diagram?

Align the motherboard in your mind, so that we are both looking at it in the same direction;

Processor to the top, Ram Memory slots to the right, the four white PCI slots to the bottom.

The plastic front of a desktop computer is the Front Panel.

The area of pins on the motherboard, that the cables (Wires) from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

The Front Panel header for the Syntax SVM266A is below the IDE 2 connector. It is labeled Panel 2

(Harddrive plugs into the IDE 1 connector, optical drive/s plug into the IDE 2 connector)

Panel 2 is mounted horizontally. It is parallel to the IDE 2 connector.

There are 4 pins across the Top row, and 5 pins across the Bottom row.

The pins are numbered. Even across the Top, Odd across the Bottom.

1) Starting from the Left side going towards the Right, for the Top row;
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. There is no Pin 10, just a blank spot.

2) Starting from the Left side going towards the Right, for the Bottom row;
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

A) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 2 is for the Positive wire.

If the Power On LED light is dim, switch the wires around.

B) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

C) There is no Pin 10

D) Pins 1 and 3 are for the Harddrive activity LED light. (HDD LED)
Pin 1 is for the positive wire.
If the HDD LED light is dim when operating, switch the wires around.

E) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, IF a reset switch is used.

As for a motherboard manual,

http://web.archive.org/web/20060206024804/http://www.syntaxgroups.com/support/downloads.php

Scroll the page down to about 3/4ths the way down, until you come to the bold heading -
SVM266A

Click on Manual.

This is a PDF file. It may take up to 30 seconds before the first page comes up, and additional time for the file to fully download.

The front plastic cover of your computer is the Front Panel.

The area of pins on the motherboard, that the cables (Wires) from the Front Panel go to, is the
Front Panel Header.

Motherboard installed in your computer, with the Processor to the Top, and Ram Memory slots to the Right, the Front Panel header is at the very bottom right corner.

It is a rectangular block with pins in it, and lays horizontal to the bottom edge of the motherboard.

Left-click on Product View in the list.
Now left-click on, P-Front Panel Connector

As you can see the white rectangular block has 5 pins across the Top, and 4 pins across the Bottom.

The pins are numbered.
They are numbered Odd across the Top, and Even across the Bottom.

Starting at the RIGHT side going across to the Left, on the Top row;
Pins 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10

Starting at the RIGHT side going across to the Left, on the Bottom row;
Pins 1, 3, 5, and 7. There is NO pin 9.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.
(HDD LED)

Pin 1 is for the Positive wire ( + )
If the HDD LED light is dim when operating, switch the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, (Reset button), IF used.

C) Pin 9 is for a +5 Volt wire. I don't think it is used, but you have the computer, and can correct me if I'm wrong.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

F) Pin 10 is N/C. Not Connected. (No kidding Gateway, since there is NO pin there!)

Remember, RIGHT to LEFT.

I have a 2000 kia sephia that recently had the dashboard light and tail lights go out. My headlights still work, but my dashboard and tail light don't. Any suggestions?

This sounds like a fuse problem. Check all your fuses. If they are the little plug in blade type, you will need to pull the fuse out and check the metal tab in the middle. You can pick up a test light for a few dollars at an automotive store. If you connect the light across the fuse (most of these have a little bit of metal exposed at the very top) and the light lights, then the fuse is bad. This test works because the fuse has zero resistance and therefore zero volts across it to power the light. If the fuse is bad, then there is 12volts across the fuse and the light lites.

Best of luck, Jim

Where do I plug in the power sw and power led wire on the eMachines T5274 computer? Thanks

When looking at the motherboard with the back of the computer to your left, there should be a row of pins on the lower right corner of the motheboard (or close to the corner). These pins are normally marked as something like PLED (for the power LED), PWR SW for power switch, RST for reset, IDE LED for the hard drive light, etc.
The power switch is normally along the bottom row and the power LED is on the top. But--to find where the power switch goes, take a small screwdriver and short two of the pins to see if the computer turns on. If it does, you've found the power switch. When the computer is running, put the power LED plug across two pins to see if the power light lights. If it doesn't, try two more until you find it.
var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_88a0199091e74aa0ab8dd27b901b03c6(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

My power led connector (green,white) power sw connector (black,white) got out of place and i dont where they go

The eMachines T3302 desktop computer, uses an FIC K8M-800M motherboard.
(First international Computer, Inc.)

Where those wires go on the motherboard, is termed a Front panel header.

The Front Panel is the plastic front bezel of your computer.
(Where the Power On button is, Power On LED light, and so on)

Looking at the motherboard with the Processor to the Top, Ram Memory slots to the Right, the Front Panel header is at the bottom right corner, and over to the left.

Look at the jumper block in the bottom right corner. Right in the corner.
This is the LED type selector, jumper block.
Has 6 pins.
3 across the Top, 3 across the Bottom.

(This jumper block is to set whether you are using a Power On LED light, that has Dual Colors, or a Single color.
The default setting of the jumper on the block, is set to use a Dual Color LED light, for the Power On LED)

Move to the left of this jumper block. The Front Panel header is to the left of this jumper block.

(FIC terms it a Front Panel Block Connector)

It should be White in color.
Is right against the bottom edge of the motherboard. (Parallel to the outside edge of the motherboard)

Has two rows of pins sticking up.
5 across the Top.
4 across the Bottom.

The pins are numbered from the Right, going towards the Left.

(From the Power On LED jumper block, towards the Front Panel header)

On the Top row going from Right, towards the Left,
Pins 1 ,3, 5, 7, and 9.

On the Bottom row going from the Right, towards the Left,
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 1 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
(Green)

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Power On switch.
Pin 5 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.
(Black)

[Although it really doesn't matter which way the wires go. It's a SWITCH]

C) Pins 2 and 4 are for the HarDDrive activity LED.
Pin 2 is for the Positive wire ( + )

D) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Reset switch.
(IF used)

If any of your LED lights are dim, after attaching the Positive wire for each LED, it's because the Positive wire is on the wrong pin.
Switch the wires around

Mag innovision LT716s monitor

When I turn on my computer the monitor takes a long time to warm up and colors change and vertical lines flash across the screen from right to left before the screen becomes normal again. Now the power light even goes out upon turning on my computer and I have to unplug the video cord and plug it back in to start the screen back up which even takes longer.
