Contact your ISP tech support. Their job is to ensure that you can connect to them properly. I used to work for Earthlink I had to fix all kinds of stuff for our customers so they could connect.

Hi. My problem is that I can not use the internet with my laptop. We have a router/broadband and all of my flatmates can use the internet, even those who have Vista. I first thought it was because of Vista...

I've found on a forum that the error 815 means that your Internet Service Provider server is not responding. You have to check your connection's settings (username and password for your ISP, DHCP config). And, see if the connection by default is the right one (not the dial-up), in Tools, Internet Options, Connection Tab and select Never dial.

Cant view pages on ebay get 500 error checked firewall and internet options and all ok

This error can only be resolved by fixes to the Web server software. It is not a client-side problem. It is up to the operators of your Web server site to locate and analyse the logs which should give further information about the error.

I cant get onto internet explorer it says dns error can you help?

Check out your internet connection and its settings, whether it is dial up or broadband oriented.
then you have to know about your ip address of dns server in the network setting places.
you just ping the ip address of dns server following as...

go to start, then run and type "cmd", and it shows the command prompt. type as following format.

ping 10.10.10.5 and press enter key.. this is the sample ip address only. if it gets reply, your dns server is ok. you can use internet. suppose, it wont comes, ask your service provider or support for another or different ip address of dns to check it out.

Sometimes these temporary Internet files and cookies can cause the issue you are experiencing. Similarly your History list can also be a concern. Error 815 means that your ISP server is not responding. The probable causes are that you have not set up your connection properly - correct username and password, check with ISP support for connectivity problems
