Same problem, update for SQL Server 2005 , SP2

  • Anonymous Jul 10, 2008

Same problem, tried 3 times already. First one was in 1 batch with other updates (9 in total, I think). Afterwards I had to restart my computer. Then another update was automatically installed, I guess this same one. Then I had to install the update before turning off the computer. The third time I manually went to Windows Update and clicked the install button.

I have the same problem, too. I have tried several times to download this update, since yesterday. To no success so far. Hopefully we find the solution soon.

The easiest way to reset sql sa password.

无标题文档 The easiest way to reset sql sa password. One of my friends complained that: I am not a sql db manager by any means but I've been asked to reset sa password for a sql 2005 server. My concern is ...will changing this password have any effect on applications that use sql 2005. They use Micro CRM 3.0, and I don't want to disrupt their service. The reason they want to reset the password is because they recently bought a new accounting package that will tie into CRM, and the technicians are requesting the password to complete the install.
In fact, MS SQL Server Password Unlocker can reset sql password in no snap! Just install the sa password recovery program on the computer where the sql master.mdf is saved. MS SQL Server Password Unlocker accesses to the master.mdf file directly and lists all the users to the database. For accessing the master.mdf smoothly, the password recovery program detects and stops the running SQL Services automatically

This link will give you the DL for SQL 2005 Service Pack2 update. From here you can DL the whole pack or individual portions. You didn't specify which XML you were looking for.
*Should have Service Pack 1 installed prior to running Service Pack 2

I can't get Lorex VistaPro4 QLR0440 working on my XP

I had the same problem for a while till I figured out how to fix it.

    go into:
start -> control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager
in device manager go down to the "sound, video, and game controllers"

in my system there was another set of audio and video capture drivers installed ("kworldb878 audio capture" or something)

go into those, and update driver; instead of letting it search, choose the driver from the list. (lexor is the manufacturer) and then install the lexor drivers, and that fixed it for me :)

I have installed sql-server management studio at Win-XP professional.. but it is while run this it is looking for LOCAL SERVER... but it is unable to find any local server at my system.... pls solve my...

First of all you need to be sure that when you installed sql server you also checked Database server. I assume you have.

Then you need to check if SQL is running.

You have to go to start and type services.msc in the search field.

then you have a list of services. go down to sql server and check if its running.

Now go to sql management studio and connect to your local server.

You also might have a instance name. like local server\sql express or an other name.

    Many issues few solutions

Sounds like you have a real mess there that you can lose a lot of time trying to solve. I'd suggest saving all your files to another drive, and then reinstall the OS and only allow the system to update through the Windows update manager/web site, which should be able to match up the right update files. Do all this patching of the OS without installing any other hardware devices to keep it clear where things go wrong. Once the OS is patched completely, install new hardware and patch it separately watching for the tell-tale incompatibilities with XP/MCE2005. Especially watch for legacy devices that might not have modern drivers.

Hope this helps - good luck...
