Had a short power outage now the unit will not run. breaker ok and 234 volts to outside unit but inside unit will not come on. is there a reset or something

Try turning the unit off at thye meter box or the isolator switch out next to the outdoor unit of the air con. Leave off for 15 minutes and then switch back on again. Some Air cons get screwed up with power surges... Leaving off at the mains for a while often resets them. If the air con was running at the time the power went off, it may have damaged one of the electronic boards... Do you get any flashing lights or displays showing what could be an error code ??

Will not turn on after a blackout

Turn off your breakers and then back on. There are fuses located in the a/c control panel. Check them. If you aren't getting any power still, a board may have been blown during the storm.

REMOTE WON'T WORK WITH AIR CON UNIT

First turn off all the power inside and out then back on and change your batteries in the remote. And look on the remote for an extra switch that may have been moved during the outage and you don't ordinarily see it. If neither of these solutions work its most likely a service call. to tell you more.
