Hi, I have an BOSH dishwasher SGV4313gb/17. It is about 8yrs old and has worked fine until last week when it did not complete its cycle. Have reset and it seems to complete cycle but I don't think it completes the drying process as unit is damp.

Are you using a rinse aid? if so and teh dishes are still not drying properly, try adjusting the setting for the rinse aid dispenser. Open the door of the dishwasher, open the flap where you pour in the rinse aid and look for the cirlce with the arrow and nunbers on it. If it is set low (1 or 2) try turning the arrow to a higher number. If that adjustment doesn't work, increase again and again until the dishes are dry.

Bosh SHY56A Dishwasher - Loud Pop and Smoke While

Hey Matt,
Dishwashers are not that complicated.. Turn off the breaker, pull the machine out - away from the wall..(there will/should be at lest two screws in the top edge holding it to the counter.. remove them first.. then pull it out until you can turn off the water supply.. When you are able to completely remove the washer, you should be able (possibly)to see what happened.. Check to see if the washer arm (inside the washer) will turn, if not.. replace the motor.., check to see if the pump belt will turn?.. it could be the pump drive motor or the pump its self..(remove the belt), then see if the motor will turn, check to see if the pump will turn.
.. White smoke makes me think that the belt was turning and the pump NOT turning..that will cause the belt to smoke.. and smell like burning rubber..If the pump will not turn. you have found t he problem... Also ..Check to make sure there is not a knife or some other object lodged in the drain or pump
NOW -- With all this.. Sometimes REPLACING the machine is actually cheaper than repairing the old one!!! Your wife deserves a NEW one!!

My bosh shu33a06uc dishwasher is stuck in water discharge cycle. It will run untill door is open.

This error means your dishwasher has water in the pan below your tub. You need to remove toe plate below the door and soak up the water in the pan to reset the motor.

Good Luck

Bosh shu43c never stops running.

If you have a Bosch shu4300...check this site.

http://fixitnow.com/wp/2006/06/09/bosch-dishwasher-takes-forever-to-complete-a-cycle/

My issue was a heater fault and fixed the problem by resoldering a bad joint. Works fine once this was fixed.

The dishes don't get dry enough

I was able to fix this by using rinse during the cycle.

Bosch sgv53e13gb Integrated dishwasher - wont start a new cycle!?

Hi,
As the machine is only two weeks old I would go straight back to the seller and report the fault to them - and take a copy in writing. Don't be fobbed off with any instructions to get in touch with the makers - your contract is with the seller and it is up to them to fix it! And if you mention compensation for the inconvenience caused by this defective product, it might help speed things up.

Hope this helps! D.

Solution Found!!

Checked for power to dishwasher. According to the manual, shutting off the breaker for more that 30 seconds resets the dishwasher. It did!!! The dishwasher works fine now. THANKS!!!

GE Nautilus won't drain after Rinse Cycle

Check disposer plug. If a garbage disposer has been recently installed, it is possible the disposer drain plug was not removed. The drain plug is a plastic piece in the disposer that blocks the hole where the dishwasher hose connects. Also check the hose connected to the disposal. Mine apparently had a kink in it. When I straightened the hose the dishwasher drained at full speed (I recently had a plumber re-route a hot waterline. He must has bent the hose). Hope this helps. If not go to the GE website. That's where I found my answer.
