If you don't have a second backup browser (like Firefox or Chrome), follow the steps below.
Restart your Mac holding down the shift key... that boots it into Safe Mode.
Once it's up and running, open Safari... chances are, you may have downloaded and installed software that installed browser re-direct software.
Download Firefox (if you don't already have it) and install it. It won't be needed, but this is for future issues if the same issue happens again.
Google "Adware Medic", download and install the software. This app is a virus-free AppleScript that looks for browser re-direct software on your system.
Run the software and delete what it finds. You'll then be prompted to restart your computer.
Once restarted, open Safari. You're issue should have been resolved.

Before downloading they will ask what type of OS you have, and your Mail ID, and your area just fill it up and click download button, your download will start and it will save in your system.

It is not a virus,reset Safari with these steps: 1.Open your Safari web browser by clicking on the Safari icon in the dock. 2.Click on Safari in your Safari menu, located at the top of your screen. 3.A drop-down menu will now appear. Choose the option labeled Reset Safari.... 4.A warning dialog will now appear detailing the items that will be removed. 5.Click the button on the dialog labeled Reset to complete the process. Your Safari browser will now restart automatically
