I HAVE AN APPLE POWERBOOK G4 I PURCHASE FROM EBAY IT IS CURRENTLY RUNNING MAC OS 9 ,HOW CAN I UPGRADE TO OSX 10 ?

Hi Bobby
You will need to get an OS X installation DVD. Try eBay.Don't go for anything lower than 10.4 (Tiger)10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard) should run fine on this machine.Don't bother with 10.7 or 10.8

Olympus P-440 doesn't work with Snow Leopard. What

The first thing that you need to do is to verify if your Olympus P-440 is if it's supported by Mac OSX 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). If yes, make sure that you've installed the correct driver for Snow Leopard.

You may check the link below:

http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=41942227668e7c7e22782bc2081

This link contains a driver for Mac OSX. I assume that this driver will work with all OSX (starting from Tiger to Snow Leopard). If this driver will not help, you may need to contact the manufacturer, and verify the system requirements of your printer.

Thank you and good luck!

Lexmark X2650 scanner in Mac OSX 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard)

You need to update your driver by getting the latest software in the Lexmark website here. During software update what usually gets updated are the basic functionalities. In this case it looks like the scanner is not being updated as well. Hope this helps.

Macbook black will not start beyond the initial 'bong'. Blue screen followed by endless spinning gear. PRAM, SMV reset, no go. Safe mode can't complete. With battery or on power adapter same result....

Hello yang2699tlk,
Try this instead of using your Leopard Disc.

  1. Immediately after the "bong" press and hold down "Command + S".
  2. Wait for blinking cursor and then type fsck -y (exactly like that).
  3. If you receive an "Appears to be OK" then type reboot and hit the return key.
  4. If you receive a "Disk has been modified" then repeat the fsck -y command until you get an "Appears to be OK" then type reboot and hit the return key.

This set of commands entered in "Single User Mode" will repair your disk. If this does not work remove the hard drive, plug it into another Mac and transfer your data to a different computer. Then install a new hard drive and reinstall Mac OS X.

Hope this helps, don't forget to vote. Thanks.

Two cursors when driver is installed on Windows Vista

Below is the full text of an email I sent to the Adesso Company. They sent me a response in just a couple of days.

I tried it out on an Adesso 8600 Cybertablet. It works perfectly.

Complete email below this line:
Hi there,
Please install the following driver from the following link pertaining to your operating system.
Windows Vista - 3.14.09 (4.15 MB)
Windows Vista 64-bit - 3.14.09 (4.15 MB)
This will resolve your issue.

Subject: cybertablet 8600

I have had my cybertablet about 6 months. It works fine on my old computer but not on my new vista computer. I downloaded the new drivers from your website that say Vista on them but I still get a double cursor. I have found that many people on internet forums are having this same problem. Are you going to make a vista compatable driver for the 8600?
