Question about Acer Computer Cases

I want to format my pc acer 6800 veriton because it detected a spyware

The pc shuts down automatically when im turning it on & after the booting it shows on the desktop that a spyware is detected so i open the case but its hybernating & shuts down, I want to format it but how, hope you can help me with this. thanks in advance

Hello

i think u have winxp cd

first u change boot device cdrom in bios

and put xp cd in cdrom

u will see 'press any key boot from cdrom'

press any any key


set up will continue

Use the windows installation cd / dvd it will ask you to format / partition the disk in the setup.

im not sure i understand
it sounds like its trying to boot from another device make sure there are no disks in your cd/dvd / usb drives

make sure your computer is set to boot from your hard

Restart you computer during the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the F2 or the Delete key


Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the navigate to advanced bios features using the arrows keys press enter change your first boot device toyour hard drive press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
drive

IDE-0 means Pri master
IDE-1 means Pri slave
IDE-2 means Sec master
IDE-3 means Sec slave

or the operating system might not be detecting the hard drive
make sure all power and data leads attached from motherboard to hard drive have secure dust free connections

Formating Computer


there,s no need to format ur computer
u can repair to get rid of the problem u r having, n if u don want to do this then -u can download ur driver by downloadin it from website just write the name of the model of ur motherboard and download it .

I can't get the screen to turn on.


If you see something during reboot it's probably a video driver issue. Hold down power key till the pc shuts off, turn back on, keep pressing F8 till you get a boot menu. Pick Safe Mode. Once back into the desktop, see if you can either rollback your system or update your driver.

hmmm...sounds like an unhappy device..try to boot to SAfe Mode(F8) and run it from there..do a virus check first.

Old computer


Hi,

You can try "Ctrl+Alt+Esc";
Additionally, to restore Acer BIOS - press and hold the F10 key while powering on;
Others you can try are: F1, F2, Esc, Del & F10
On some really old machines:
CTRL + ALT + INS
CTRL + ALT + ENTER
CTRL + ALT + S
PAGE UP KEY
PAGE DOWN KEY

hi first of all check that nothing is touching the blades then spry some oil in the hinge (WD40..) make sure both ways of the fan are open for good air flow if the SUDDEN accelerations annoys you then connect it soo it will run all the time - take the red and black wires to the red and black wires of the 5v hardiscs good luck
