How do I delete channels off of my pro-135 handheld scanner?

To RESET the scanner and delete ALL programmed frequencies:
- Power the scanner OFF
- Press and hold the 2, 9, and PSE keys and power the scanner ON.

To delete a single frequency, program 0.0 into the channel - or program a new frequency into the channel (this will automatically override the old frequency).

Have a pro 2020 realistic programmable scanner. got working bu after turning off, turning back on will not scan. just shows - - - - - - - - . on screen

The memory on the unit is not retaining the frequencies. Check for a small battery on the circuit board like a button battery you would find on your computer motherboard. Replace the battery and reprogram the unit.

I am looking for codes to program a radio shack pro-2041 scanner

The "codes" you refer to are actually radio frequencies. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:

Would like to add a frequency to a Radio Shack

Absolutely. Just find either an empty channel or one that you want to delete - and program the new frequency. Doing so will not "mess up" any of the other programming.

Looses frequencies programmed

Check your manual to see if there is an internal battery. Many devices use an internal Lithium battery to retain memory. Like any other battery, after time, they will go bad.

The older programmable scanners used to use a 9V battery to retain memory. There was a plate on the back to gain acces to the battery. The newer units may have a long-lasting lithium battery inside.

Please let me know if I can be of futher assistance to you.

Good luck!

Distorted

Are you using batteries or an AC/DC adapter? The only time I've seen the voices get distorted on my Pro 97 was when the batteries were about to die. If you're using an AC/DC adapter in some way to power yours, maybe there is something electronically wrong with your Pro 97. This is not intended to get you to throw it away.
