Use a bird beak pliers and gently straighten the pins out, A small bladed screw driver may assist in seperating the pins. Try getting them as close to possible as perfect. Be very careful when doing this as to much bending will break the pins. In that case you will eighter need to HARD WIRE it of possibly get a new one.

Only getting very low sound on front speakers on my jvc th-s51 system

if you are only getting the front speakers, you are hooked up in stereo mode. Are you using red white and yellow cables? Is the source in stereo? Try a digital coax cable.

Dont now your sytem but check Home theatre sytem must be switch to 5.1 display and not dvd display. if stil no sound check in setup off dvd for soundsetting like PCM, RAW , 5.1etc and select each one till you get desired sound.

Presume your conections from dvd to hometheater is conected 5.1 cables or 1 digital cable and not stereo(2cables)

How to create 5.1 Option in my dvd player.

The best option is, check on the back of both machines if they have a connection named "optical out" in the combo and "optical in" in the HT. If yes, go to an electronic store (radio shack is so expensive) and buy an optical cable. Then connect both devices tru that cable and select then in the HT the digital input or the automatic detect. The rest is on the menu of each movie that you are watching. Enjoy the sound

http://www.altex.com/product_info.php?products_id=9207 here is a link to a audio / video switch box you need one of these make sure it has several audio video in and at least one audio/video out
hook all you rca1.gif cables up to the audio/video in from the cable box, tv, and dvd/vcr combo then out to the surround sound youll also need to get some rca cable splitters for the out so you can run it back to the audio/video in to the tv as well as the surround sound here is alink to what they look like
http://www.altex.com/product_info.php?cPath=344&products_id=6201
youll need thre of these of course when hooking it up dont pay attention to the color on these just the ones from the tv and surround sound and thats it your done it will all work if you want it to were you dont have to get up and push a button everytime most of them if you push all the buttons in at one time theyll stay like that
