In the bottom-left corner of your keyboard, you'll see a key labeled "Fn". You must hold that key down while pressing the "F10" key or any other Function key to activate the Function.
connected to wireless router with excellent signal may not means you are connected to internet. make sure your modem provided by internet service provider has signal! connect your computer to modem directly bypassing router. If you are online that means your internet is functional. Then connect modem to your Linksys router and use your wireless to log on to internet. Your router wireless signal active and excellent means you are connected to router not necessarily the internet. The modem supplied by your internet service provider with active internet should be connected to you router on WAN port! good luck!!

It's difficult to tell, but there seems to be a small switch on the front, that may activate the wireless connection. If that isn't it, you can usually access the modems through control panel, under 'network and internet,' and the wireless assistant, or possibly the network and sharing center; if the wireless modem is disabled, right clicking on the icon will usually give you an option to activate it, or you can connect to a network through the network and sharing center, as well as detecting networks, and that will tell you whether or not the thing is working.
the function key if you look by the windows key it has Microsoft logo there should be a key that's says Fn which is the function key if you press and hold that down it activates the second mode on your keyboard if you look on the buttons you should see second symbol'smostly on the F1 -F12 keys which look for the wirelesssymbol as soon as you let go of the fn key your keyboard returns to normal hope this helps
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the numberpad function in active on your keyboard while your trying to type. Perhaps you could try disactivating the number pad by using (FN+F11) keys. If its tuned on, you will see a small green light under the F11 key. Once its turned off, that light will also turn off.
Try typing ofter turning it off and see what happens.
