Hello,
The following link with give you step by step instructions on how to install memory in your laptop. The first thing you should do when you go to this website is find out what type of memory you need, which you can find in the menu at the left of the screen called memory finder. You will be prompted to input 3 bits of information such as your model number, series, etc. It will tell you exactly what type of memory you need for your laptop. It is important to remember you are limited as to how much and what type of memory you can add by what *********** board will support. Let me know if you are having problems or you need further assistance before you rate my help so I can clarify or help you. If you do not mind please rate my help, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Which memory ram for amilo pro v7010

http://www.fujitsu-siemens.ru/Resources/123/2080773523.pdf

Here's a link to the Data Sheet with the specifications to that Laptop in Adobe Reader format.

Looks like your Laptop came with either 256 or 512 MB of DDR SDRAM and it is upgradable to 2 GB of DDR SDRAM.

You can check to see exactly how much RAM your computer came with by going to Control Panel, double-click System and it should tell you how much RAM you currently have in the System Properties box.

The motherboard has 2 slots for RAM, you you could add a second 256 MB or a second 512 MB stick of RAM. Or if you wanted to upgrade to the 2GB of maximum RAM this computer handles, then you can take out the RAM chip(s) that is installed and install two 1G DDR SDRAM.

I have a toshiba a45-S151 how do I add more memory?

  • Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4
  • Number of Processors: 1
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • RAM Type: DDR SDRAM
  • Hard Drive: 60 GB IDE
  • Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition
Your ram type is DDR SDRAM.

If you have not changed ram before in a laptop, I would take it too a professional, Or look look for a picture tutorial on how to do it yourself.

Equium M40X gets overheated

this is a laptop computer?

THis is probably a simple heating problem. if it is, you'll have to replace or otherwise repair the heatsink, and maybe the CPU as well.

In general, if this is still under warranty, your best bet is probably to just return it to toshiba for repair/replacement.

I would NOT reccomend opening the case on an in-warranty laptop.

However, in case this ISN'T a heating problem, or if you need a temporary workaround... these ideas MIGHT work. they won't be permanent solutions, though.

1. try setting your bios, and your windows settings, to the options that use the least power.  less power = less heat.

2. If you deliberatly overclocked your cpu at some point, reset it to normal speed. or even less-then-normal speed.

3.  are you certain this isn't just a power problem, or a corrupt operating system?  you might want to try reinstalling the os, and running the computer from an AC outlet, maybe even with the battery removed

Equium M40X freezes

Hi, it seems your experiencing a overheat issue. At least one fan inside your PC has stopped working. The PC monitors internal heat, when the PC reaches a certain temperature it will shut down & or freeze. Chances are it's the CPU fan.
