When you first turn on your system there should be a message at the bottom for you to choose an "F" key to enter BIOS. When you push that "F" key and enter BIOS choose the tab that says system. When you do the USER, HDD and Admin password will pop up. Choose the HDD and click enter. IT will ask for a password, dont type anything just simply click enter, and when it asks to retype the password push enter again. What this does is let the BIOS know it is a "CLEAR" password and lets it know not to ask for one. After you do that choose the "F" key that allows you to exit and save. Your system will re boot and will no longer should ask for a password to your HDD.

Download all drivers off this page onto a Pen drive, memory card or DVD

and install.These are all the drivers for the laptop. Hopefully you have not changed the os to VISTA as these drivers seem to be for Windows XP. These may also work in vista.

before you tear into all that hardware stuff please first try this. Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.

Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not,
Try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty. If not,
Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.
Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.

to register your laptop, go to the manufacturer's site of your machine.

maybe the memory is not compatible... there is a dsgnated memory speed... take it to the experts.. dont try to kill ur laptop..

I couldn't download it either until i tried a different approach
Go to your hardware update wizard
Choose Don't search I will choose the driver to install
Scroll down and choose sound video and game controllers
Choose the manufacturer which should be Conexant Audio
and follow the steps to install that way.......

This was the only way it finally got installed and if it says it can't find the "camc6aud" sys file, under browse choose the directory where you downloaded the driver
Example: C:cabs/Conexant Audio/camc6aud
