Question about Motorola Mobility C290 Cellular Phone
I dropped my phone in soda, got it out, removed the battery, dipped it in distilled water... Left it for 24hrs to dry. Now when I turn it on I get a screen that says bootloader usb ini. What in the world do I do?
You dealt smartly with liquid dropped cell phone. Water and salt badly effects cell phone's battery and display. You have samrtly saved your phone but i must say that your effected display is ruined and needs to replace. You can replace it by contacting skilled techncian near you. There is not another way and i m sorry to say that. Ask fixya for servicemen arround you.

SOURCE: Bootloader usb ini
I had the same problem so I called Motorola Tech support. They told me the BOOTLOADER USB INI message meant that the software for the phone wasnt updated and in order to update it to the right software you'd have to send it in to them to fix it for free ONLY if its still under their 1 year warranty or else you'll have to buy a new phone. So next time you guys get a new phone make SURE you UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE REGULARLY! I learned my lesson. I am so pissed.
P.S. Is there anyway of getting your contacts off through the comp even if your phone wont power on?
