The screen replacement is defective or the part number is wrong, check the part number on the back of the original screen and compare it against the the one you replaced, it should match.

internal web cam, ok the problem is the cable that runs from the camera to the mainboard is either broken or needs to be reseated, which means that you will have to take apart the laptop to get at it, do you think you can do that?and do you have the tools to do it?if so email me and let me know.arjoon.ken@gmail.com Post Solution

right click on the desktop, and go to properties, or personalize (depending on your OS) click on display settings (or its equivelent) and set your color to 32 bit true) and set your display resolution to something higher than 800 x 600 this should solve your issue

My hp compaq nx9010 notebook is no longer displaying the color black on the Windows xp start up page or on some of my powerpoints and videos. The color black is replaced by a redish color.

It seems that someone changed the desktop background color. point the mouse somewhere in the middle of the desktop, (away from any icons) and right click the mouse, a menu will appear with several options. The bottom one says properties. Click that. Once done another (more advanced) menu will appear with several tabs at the top. Click on the second to last tab, labled, "Appearance". Once in this tab. Toward the bottom right side of this screen you will see 2 buttons one atop another labled, "Effects", (on top), and, "Advanced", (below). Click the advanced button. A new window will pop up with the first option being desktop in a drop-down menu. To it's immediate right you will see "color 1" with a drop-down menu directly below it. That is where you will select the new background, (desktop) color. Once you have selected the new color, click OK, then apply on the remaining screen, then OK once the color is set.

More info please. Does it show a boot screen first then go blank? Does it beep when you turn it on? Has your display flickered recently or have the colors shifted?

Display Issue

Toshiba makes a great laptop but the display video or lcd seem to go bad very quickly I have replaced the lcd in many to solve this problem but be aware a few also had bad video cards (unlikley in your case as the external video is fine) it would seem as the lcd panel has gone bad on yours. the average replacment is around $100.00 to $300.00 depending on where you purchase from.

Display Issue

I think your right although have you noticed when you change a TV from PAL to NTSC,(and other display settings) that the screen turns green. Is this a possibility. If your LCD was fine B4 and the problem has occured without your help then sorry to say it sounds like the moniter is playing up. Anyway its just a thought.
Good Luck
